Twitter is a great way to get information on anything and everything you want….I use it for sports information obviously.
I don’t really follow to many individual people becuase I am not trying to get caught up in the whole thing because it can get kind of crazy.
Anyways…..I was signed on to my account and I got a tweet that said KOBE BRYANT literally just joined Twitter like 3 minutes ago……Guess how many followeres he has when I started writing this….OVER 22,000….LOL…his first and only Tweet was "can you hear me now"….I was going to follow him just becasue its Kobe Bryant and you have a button staring you in your face saying "HIT ME" (its addicting)..but…I restrained…lol…Kobe will get NO follow from me…(unless he starts tweeting some GILBERT ARENAS type stuff…lol)
On a a Twitter side note….I found it interesting that JAY BILLAS from ESPN has over 150,000 followers…and…he is following ZERO people….thats crazy……..hes an arogant dude….lol
One more thing….I got into to a twitter BEEF the other day with STEPHON MARBURY….it was crazy….I won’t go into the details….but we had like a 15 minte exchange…..he’s a funny dude.

But I have been curious about Twitter. I hate that these people think that they are important that "followers" really matter. It really is kind of a popularity contest for some people. But for the purposes why I was thinking about joining, same as you, was to keep up with NBA news. That’s the ONLY benefit I can see from it. But on social networks, I’m kind of a MikeyV and 140 characters isn’t enough for me. So I always passed on Twitter and just wait for someone to put Twitter stuff on here lol

But…the thing is…you DONT have 2 tweet….you can just see what people are saying…and…more importantly what articles and videos and links..etc.etc…they are sending….it can be very useful.
As far as the whole "POPULARITY" contest…you are absoulutely right…thats what it is for "famous" people…thats cool….let them do them….unless they tweet useful information….or…something that makes me laugh allot( BILL WALTON 4 example…funny as shyt…worth the follow)…then I dont bother with that part of it….That being said, its hard not to hit the follow button on a 4 am RANT from "metta world peace"…lol
Bottom line…If you can put the whole "popularity" contest thing out of your mind…you can get a PLETHORA amount of basketball information…or anytthing else 4 that matter…its worth a try…IMO…and if you give it a shot, be sure 2 follow me…LOL…JKJK….I graduated from high school already.

I might not have very long posts on this forum, but that is mainly because there isn’t much ball to talk about, otherwise I am would prefer long, descriptive, and worth while posts. Plus I got a sh!t load of homework.

Heres the gist of it…..I grew up in the east cost and was always a fan of starbury’s so when I saw him on twitter I hit the follow button….what insued was a infinite amount of very "spiritual" tweets saying how everyone needs to change their lives and basically try and be more like him (the way he lives). I am all for finding a "higher power", but usually I just ignore his tweets. I never Tweeted back at him ever until this.
Marbury Tweeted "I only tweet on rare occasions when the spirt talks to me"…I looked at the amount of times he tweeted and its almost 30,000.
This gigantic number caught me off guard so I decided to add my 2 cents…OOOOPS…lol
I replied " 30,000 times you have talked to the spirts…I guess they have some good PEYOTE in China, cuz u r turning into Jim Morrison"
I didnt think any thing of it…but…He tweeted back at me and said…"I’m trying to make sense of what your saying. If you want to ask something ask with the words that everyone can understand."
I said "lol…fair nuff….Peyote is a Hallucinogenic that makes u see "spiritual" things…J.Morrison was the singer from the band The DOORS…crazy dude!!!
I then followed that Tweet up with this however…"but..I respect the NEW u…if it really is the NEW u…and not a FRONT….but…be careful not to live a FALLACY..cuz the "spirts" don’t like that.
I then had to go take care of some business….I returned to my computer couple hours later to find a NUMBER of HATE tweets from Marbury fans…lol…because…when people tweet at you…everyone that follows them can see the conversation and where it is coming from.
Marbury had Tweetd this to me after my response…"B Jesus loves you! You don’t know me. Nothing New Here. Your just seeing something you never saw or heard before. I’m not who they said I was. Sorry to disappoint you my brother. Love is Love I’m going to Mute you because I don’t need this energy on my page. Its not personal your just not in the same place or space so I feel this is MY page and I can do what I want so I choose to mute you. Peace and Love. May some other page would work better.
He also then tweeted this to me…which kind of bugged me out "On May 12, 2014 at 3:04 am you will know what I am talking about"
