Does anyone think Tu Holloway will be drafted in June? I cannot see why he wouldn’t be.  Yes, granted he’s obviously undersized, but he’s pretty strong for his 6’0 frame.  I watched him play many times over his career at Xavier (particularly in this year’s NCAA Tournament) and he can score at will when he wants/needs to.

He always played with confidence and was a proven leader for the Musketeers– surely a team will be willing to take a chance on a player like that.

Yes, I’m aware he was one of the focal points in the Cincinnati brawl a few months ago which COULD scare some teams away (attitude issues?) but I feel like he’s accepted responsibility for that incident and used it to mature.

Surely with the succes of Isaiah Thomas in Sacremento this year (very undersized, leader type player) there could be room for Tu on someone’s roster.  I’m just surprised I haven’t seen his name on any of the recent mocks.

Does anyone agree with me? Or have any reasons as to why he’s not being highly touted right now? I’m kind of perplexed.

Yeah, I think he’ll find a spot in the 2nd round.  He reminds me of E’twan Moore who was picked up in the mid/late 2nd last year and has even played some minutes for the Celtics, but I do have a bit of a bone to pick.

I’m sick of hearing how teams are now more willing to take short players because of Isaiah Thomas.  This is not true, it’s a great story about Mr. Irrelevant ( last pick in the draft) starting and having a great year, but teams draft individuals and Thomas didn’t open any doors for short guys!  Muggsy Bouges, Spud Webb, Earl Boykins and many other short players have found success in the league and Thomas isn’t doing anything new or opening any GM’s eyes towards short players.  He’s just opened the eyes of the teams that passed HIM up, not every every sub 6′ guard who’s had success at the college level.

Sherron Collins, Scottie Reynolds, and Randy Cullpepper are not playing in the league, they all got chances.  Thomas is an individual, and a guy who’s individual talent got him where he is.  And it will take individual talent for a short guard to find a spot, not Thomas’ rookie success.

That’s a valid point about Thomas– I was really only using him because it was the most modern example of a guy who was likely considered "too small" excelling in the league.  Of course there have been others and I hope Holloway can follow their leads as well.

Like I said, I’d put Holloway in the top percentile of players based on pure confidence– he oozes it.  And he’s very well built which could help him out guarding bigger PGs in the league.  I hope you’re right that he finds a spot in the 2nd round because I know he can succeed if given a chance.
