Is anybody a big fan of Wisconsin guard Trevon Hughes who is maybe the top point guard in the not in the Big Ten but maybe in the country. He not the big and not really explosive but the abilities he does have he uses them really well. He really shoots it well and is real aggressive when attacking the basket. I think he is a guy who can get drafted in the late first but more than likely second round of the draft.

i am a badger, and i wish tre nothing but success, but i wouldn’t pick him. yea, he does a good job making the most of what he has, but tre is just not on the level of an NBA PG. maybe its just a product of bo ryans system, but tre seems like a SG stuck in a PGs body. too bad he’s 6’1

i expect trevon to go undrafted, but to be honest his guts and will to win remind me of a point guard version of another player from the state of WI, Wesley Matthews.

if it were up to me, i’d take him in the mid-late second round, though i don’t expect it to go down that way.

no offense to trevon, but i think of a guy like jack mcclinton and how he can’t find a team, and it makes me think trevon belongs in europe cuz mcclinton is much better than trevon, imo.

he and matthews have similar intangibles, but as far as playing styles, I don’t think they’re that comparable. from what i’ve seen of matthews, his strength is his d, and esp his steals/anticipation. trevons game is centered on his scoring and creating- which is not what i think of with matthews.

I don’t see him in the NBA, but if everything goes right he could be a Mario Chalmers type..

As a former high school player with Trevon we keep in touch every now and then. So far this season, Trevon is predicted to go late 1st round early 2nd. He has also spoken to the Sacremento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, but is favored by a large margin, going to the Indiana Pacers. You cannot tell from Bo Ryan’s offense, but Trevon has scary speed, and unreal quickness. Allen Iverson is a good comparison, though; I would give his playstyle more of early Jason Williams aka (White Chocolate)
