d-grizzlyParticipantOrlando needs to trade hedo for a pick and a good veteran on draft night. hedo’s the weakpoint. if i remember right, he is expiring…which could change everything here.. Lewis needs to stop playing pf and play SF. I think lee could be the starting Sg next year, he looks pretty good… anyway, hedo was terrible at the end of game 4….the celtics were in the penalty with 5 minutes to left…and he wants to play the run lean in and fade back shot sh!t? what is he thinking? he’s actually been terrible most of the series, which is disapointing… TRADE HEDO FOR DRAFT PICK AND DECENT PF.

sheltwon3ParticipantThey may not be a bad move. I think Hedo is still a good player though but I a 4 in the mold of a Jason Thompson from Sac who can shoot perimeter shots and still rebound and has length would work well with Dwight. If Sac gets Griffin this move would be a good one to make.

llperezWith Hedo being a free agent, the magic would have to do a sign and trade. This usually only happens because the team that wants Hedo does not have enough cap space to just sign him outright, so they agree to a sign and trade where they can give the Magic someone to clear some salary while the Magic get something in return rather then just lose him for nothing. However, when this happens it is very rare that the Magic would get anywhere near equal value like a typical straight up trade.

sheltwon3ParticipantThat is true but does Sacramento have that much money.

llperezDoes Sheltown refer to Sheldon? I think the Kings need to be patient and build through the draft the next couple years. I don’t think trading young guys for a veteran like Hedo or anyone else is the right move right now. They probably should look to deal Nocioni as well since he seems unhppy being in Sac. In a couple years the Kings will have stockpiled some talent and if the economy is better they can build the arena so the Maloofs will be happy and start spending money again.

sheltwon3ParticipantNo i am not Sheldon Williams and you can’t really hate too much on a guy that gets Candace Parker pregnant. I hear what you are saying but you also have to have a few veterans to keep KMart Happy and also help the young players get a winning culture. They actually should have enough talent this year to make noise in the West if everyone is healthy. The main weakness is point guard and chemistry. They could use more depth but yet they have more depth than most Eastern conference playoff teams.

grkgregParticipanthis going to opt out of his contract and then become a free agent. i serious doubt a sign and trade would happen, their are a ton of teams with cap space that will be ready and will to sign a nice sized check for hedo. and how often do u c teams trading away a lottery pick for a 30 year old player who’s going to be looking for a 5 year contract. nope, never, no sign and trade is happening here.

llperezI was’nt hating on Sheldon Williams. Seeing as how you were showing interest in the Kings, I thought maybe you were from the town of Sheldon which is near Sac. I agree they should add some veterans to bring in more leadership, but they could find those guys through free-agency without having to trade key pieces like Jason THompson.

pistonsmanParticipantThat will not happen they will not trade Hedo. Because who will start JJ Redick no way he’s not ready for that. Maybe about to more years of 20+ minutes off the bench then he will be ready. But no way they will trade Hedo this will not happpen.

rvirsalParticipantthere’s no doubt the magic need to trade hedo. but the question really is, where? there aren’t much quality powerforwards out there who can match hedo’s talent. also, hedo helps a lot in the halfcourt offense and i think that needs to be addressed if he is traded. haslem would be a good fit, but i don’t think he’s enough for hedo. maybe a package of haslem, wright, 2nd rounder for hedo and redick would work for both teams. haslem brings not only toughness and rebounding but also leadership and hard work; also, wright is still young and has a lot of upside. miami gets another all-star caliber player to play next to wade and another shooter in redick.
