burgessfourParticipantIf the Sixers were to shop the pick, what could they possibly get ? As an example, what would Phoenix need to offer, pick 4, pick 13………..and what else ?

PatrickMurphyParticipantIf I was the Sixers I would offer the Celtics the 1st pick for #3 (take Bender), #16 and the rights to Brooklyn’s 2017 (swapped) and 2018 picks.

220ParticipantPhiladelphia would probably ask Phoenix for Devin Booker, the 4th pick, the 14th pick, and a future unprotected #1. I don’t see the 76ers dealing this pick though even if Phoenix and would give up that much.

mercyman25ParticipantDevin Booker looks like a future star. Simmons is probably a star, that doesn’t win championships. Just a stat stuffers. I just don’t see the point in selling the farm for 1 guy.

220ParticipantI’d be shocked if Phoenix put together a trade like this for Simmons. They got a steal in Booker last year and with some good drafting and played development they could be back in the playoffs before too long. Plus the Suns owner is notoriously cheap, for an owner, so I doubt he’d want to give up a ton for Simmons or Ingram.

mercyman25ParticipantHe’s not cheap, he spends plenty. Just on the wrong players. Not a strong basketball mind.

220ParticipantI remember year after year that he unloaded first round draft picks for cash. I also remember when the Suns traded Kurt Thomas and I believe a first round pick that became Serge Ibaka for a second round pick to save money. Sarver may choose to spend money from time to time, but he’s also been incredibly frugal and stunted the Suns future by trading first round picks for little to nothing in return in basketball terms.

BeastMode716ParticipantIt’s not the NFL………. in a year where there is a Possible transcendant Talent……. the #1 pick is Utterly priceless……
I like Booker…….. but he is Not Steph Curry……… Phila should keep that #1 pick……… & if they believe that either Simmons or Ingram is a Potential League Super-Star down the road…….
They’ve got to role the Dice & Draft that player #1 & then Build a team around him…….
we’re all forgetting that there is a possibility that the Sixers could land the #1 pick in 2017, 18 & 19 w/ picks from Other teams……… & they’ll Still have their own picks in those Drafts….. It’s a remote chance but it Is possible……
This Just the beginning of what this team will look like in a few years………..

unc3215ParticipantIf the lakers wanted simmons would you listen to an offer of #1 for #2 and oaekfor for clarkson and russell? I dont see lakers wanting to give up both guards but they would have oaekfor, randle and simmons, 76ers would have clarkson, russell, ingram, noel, embiid and saric. Both teams would have plenty money to offer free agents, unless lakers go for cousins.
Otherwise simmons noel saric embiid and oaekfor
Clarkson russell ingram randle and free agents,i just dont like that core

PatrickMurphyParticipantJordan Clarkson is a restricted free agent, correct? I think that negates enough of his value to make that a pass for the 76ers.

DolanCareParticipantAs someone who has always been low on Okafor and Noel, I don’t see how Philly can justify trading the #1 pick. You can’t start a rebuilding effort in earnest without young prospects with promise .

burgessfourParticipantall that interested in trading the pick, just curious what they could get. Would I do 1 & Okafor for 2, Russell and Clarkson ? Considering the logjam at center for the Sixers you have to at least consider it. There are worse "problems" then having Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Simmons, Saric and 5 round round picks from 2017-2019. BC will figure it out.
