okay i dont know if this trade would be good its
Rip and Maxiell (or Brown) to Houston
    Houston sends MacGrady to NYK
New York signs Lee and trades him, Chandler, and Curry’s Bad contract (next year it will be considered an asset) to Detroit
gives houston lots of help, helps detroit but im not sure what is does for new york nothing really but everybody they traded contracts ended next year and they were not going to keep him so no pluses or negatives

it would benefit NY and Detroit. But I’m not sure I like it for Houston. I’m not a big fan of Hamilton, and he has a long term deal that pays him like 11 mill per. Houston might be better off just waiting out McGradys contract and using the money in next years big free agent class to sign someone.

rockets wont have enough money to sign anybody really if yao comes back from surgery good because salary cap going down drastically like new york originally had enough money to get two superstars but know only 1 if it goes down what they think it is so Houston will have enough for one right now but when it goes down they wont be able to get anybody better then hamilton with money

The rockets are currently set to only have 35 million in payroll after next season. How can you say they don’t have enough money to spend on anybody in 2010 ?

i think this is a pretty good trade. NY gets an expiring contract, and TMac is exciting when he plays, detroit gets frontcourt help and makes more room for gordon, and houston gets a good replacement for TMac, and rip doesn’t get injured much, and maxiell is a good player, but he can be inconsistent. still, he’ll do your dirty work.

no way houston would want rip, as good as he is. they could use, when healthy, a servicable t-mac way more. For one, he has a 23mil dollar expiring contract, while rip has like 2 or 3 years left. And getting maxiel would be like getting a fatter carl landry that can’t shoot as well. Also, NY sending d-lee and chandler to one team? i think they would rather lose lee straight up than trade away chandler in the same deal…not a very good trade

I think it’s actually one of the better trade ideas I’ve seen on this site. Works out nicely for all teams. It really depends it what direction NY is going, if they are focused solely on the 2010 off season, believing they have a chance to land to 2 max contract players, as it leaves them with only 14 mil on the cap, barring any added contracts added. Also, it kind of leads the Pistons in a bit of a predicament, creating a long jam at the 3 postion, since you can’t leave Chandler that long at the 2. But all in all, an interesting move nonetheless.
