-Lakers/OKC is a win win. Lakers get a quality PG to help them win now and OKC gets a pick and a player to trade.
    -Brooklyn wins that trade
-OKC wins that trade. The Suns gave up way too much, IMO.

Great move to acquire CP3 and give Booker a sense they are trying to win now and keep him there. Interesting that the Suns gave up Rubio, Jerome and Lecque. You would have to think it’s almost certain now they’ll draft a point guard. I’m guessing Haliburton and Ball will be gone, so possibly Hayes or Lewis. I had them tagged to go after more shooting and choose Nesmith following their pick of Cam Johnson last year, but this is a deep draft for point guards, so overall a good move. They can play Paul, Booker, Ayton and elite shooters if they want, so maybe they do look at Nesmith, Bane, etc or even a power forward.
OKC have some talent there. I expect they can still move Rubio and also try shift Adams.

The next big trade may be Harden. The talk is the Nets, but Boston has the best assets here. They could offer Kemba Langford and 3 firsts, which is better than pretty much anything else out there.

OKC has 17 first round picks in the next 7 years. Plus some Assets (Oubre,Rubio,Green) available for trades.

I don’t really think they are going to trade Adams. He is a cult hero and stands for everything positive from the past and off the court. Noel is most likely gone and there are no real options at the 5 and even at the 4 aside from Muscala and Darius Bazley.

Adams value is pretty low given his salary and he is well respected within the organization. I think they will keep him unless some contender really really loves him but I don’t see any team like this. Any matching salary for sure will be bad contracts and at least Adams isn’t a bad fit.

The other future picks and Kelly/Danny/Ricky should net them whoever they like in this years draft. The Knicks might be interested in Oubre or Detroit even Cleveland.

OKC is really setting themselves up for success. I just hope whomever they end up drafting that pans out in the future can stick it out on the team for a while, unlike Durant or Harden.

Boston has reportedly been trying to move up in the draft to select Okongwu or Wiseman. I believe this rumor since they have also worked out Jalen Smith, Zeke Nnaji and Vernon Carey as consolation prizes. With reports stating both Boston and Washington are targeting Okongwu I expect him to be picked very high, top 5.

It will be interesting to see what Bostons resolve is in this manner. Could a package of 14, 26 and 30 move them into the top 7 or do they have to throw in Grant Williams or future assets, and would they then decline and settle with Nnaji, Smith or Carey which I think is a much smarter play then overpaying for Okongwu because lets face it whoever they plug in at Center is gonna develop well in that system. I honestly think they maybe able to move up into the mid teens by trading 26 and 30 and snipe the best C available and it would work just fine.

Surely no team contending for a championship would want to bring in more than two rookies with how strict the current landscape of the NBA is so Boston will for sure be making trades with their 4 picks. Babysitting a bunch of kids that just won the lotto is probably a bad idea right now.

I think Onyeka goes #3 to Hornets if Wiseman is gone, which he should be.

I agree whether that be for them to keep him, a trade to Boston for their package of picks and or Williams, a trade to OKC for Westbrook, a trade to Washington for #9 and someone like Troy Brown or something idk but Im pretty sure with how many teams are interested hes gone by then.

Only exception would be if Wiseman is available which could happen if Ball and Edwards are the 1st 2 players picked.

If I’m a GM I am offering a 1st round pick for Kelly Oubre immediately. Hes underrated and would be a nightmare in the playoffs with his compete level and confidence. I dont see him folding in tough situations.

Why would Detroit trade Bruce Brown? Anyone wanna explain why they just traded the only player on that team that gives any effort?

Agreed that I though it was weird seeing Brown go the other way. However, the did pick up a 2nd rounder in the deal too.
I think they may be looking at what personnel they have at each position though. For being such a bad team, they do have quite a bit of intriguing young wings on the team in Kennard, Svi, McRae and Thomas. They aren’t going to keep and sign all of them long term, so they flipped him for a pick and a young forward (Musa) that gives them depth at a position they lack.

Not agreeing with the deal, just trying to find an explanation for it haha.

Svi and Kennard are definitely promising. I just like Bruce’s effort level and versatility. They had him playing 1 through 4 and I think he got a double double with assists at some point last year playing PG. Steal for the Nets hes gonna really shine on a competitive team I feel like were gonna be talking about him in Playoff games as next years Lou Dort or KCP.

By the way DMO we gotta start gearing up for our fantasy league. I’m gonna make a thread on Draft Day to recruit. Pretty sure some people were split on wanting to switch away from ESPN to Yahoo and others not caring. I’m pretty excited for this years Fantasy League since I aint got shit else to do. ESPN is currently doing maintenance on the Fantasy League page and I’m assuming they will have everything up after Free Agency settles.

Yeah, fantasy season will sneak up on us in no time. Haven’t even been thinking about that yet, but I’m in and will help out where I can (work will be busy for me in December).

Also, I do prefer ESPN over Yahoo, but if we go Yahoo it’s not like I’m not going to play. But ESPN is definitely my preference.

I don’t understand what Detroit is doing either. I believe they would like to trade up in the draft, but they have so few assets to work with. They really don’t have a player to build their team around.

1.Jrue Holiday to Bucks for Eric Bledsoe & George Hill and 3 future first round picks….Bledsoe is 30 and Hill is 34..I thought the reason Pelicans wanted to trade a solid lockerrom guy like Holiday was they were going young?

2.Robert Covington to Blazers for Ariza and Portland’s 1st round pick 2020 which is 16th….

I get the kings traded Bogdan because they do think they could re-sign him on a big contract, but how did they not get atleast one first round pick for him??? they should be getting 2 from a team desperate for shooting in the playoffs… this is why the kings have sucked for so long…. its not a mystery why bad leadership leads to toxic franchises allergic to success. Half as bad as the vince carter trade to the nets.

Not a trade but I think Anthony Davis is leaving LA. Hes definitely going to test the waters. His answers have just been so open ended and non committal. Davis leaves LA I’m calling it.

I agree a 1 plus 1 or two plus 1 deal. See what LBJ does next summer, could LBJ take less and extend longer to allow another top FA to join. Either way I think AD will want a FA option for 2022 when he is a 10 year vet and can get the mega deal.

As a Phoenix fan I’m delighted to get CP3 he may be 35 but he can still control the play and creating for Booker and Ayton.
