     Bulls get: Evans and Rivers

Rotation: Augustin, Evans, Butler, Boozer, Noah (Evans, Gibson, Teague, Dunleavy)

    Pelicans get: Hinrich and Deng

Rotation: Holiday, Gordon, Deng, Anderson, Davis (Hinrich, Aminu, Smith)

Why?  Helps both teams compete now.  Pels can resign Deng or let him expire to look for a center next to Davis.  Bulls can stay competitive by adding 2 dynamic guards and develop a backup plan for Rose.

Raptors get: Okafor, 2 1st round draft picks.  1 this year and one later.

    Suns get: Derozan and Fields

Why?  The Raptors are looking to start over and build around Jonas.  Derozan still thinks it is his team so moving him reduces confusion and sheds a big contract.  Okafor is expiring so the Raps clear space and get picks.  The Suns need to complete there quick rebuild because they are winning now.  Derozan helps do that.  He fits with the youth movement and up tempo style.  Could slide into that 3 spot, where the Suns are weak.

I have a feeling Evans and Rose would clash.  Two ball-dominant players and the fact that Evans can’t shoot the ball would clog the lane.

Absolutely but he has played 15 games in 2 years?  This team refuses to tank so the plan right now is to win without Rose.  Also, these are just fun ideas.

Because the refuse to tank? Doesn’t this trade make the Bulls worst?

Any who, I’ve read that the Pelicans are shopping Gordon again. Not that I agree, bc Holiday/Evans backcourt will build skyscrapers with those bricks. Maybe if they can pry him away for Deng?

The reason I dont like the trade for the Bulls is mainly because of Tyreke Evans’ contract. Luol Deng’s contract is expiring and will give the Bulls the cap flexibility to do what they want in the offseason. Kirk Hinrich is probably the best all-around backup point guard in the league and will likely sign with a contender in the offseason I imagine. The Bulls should either trade them for draft picks, or let let their contracts expire- but not trade them for someone like Tyreke Evans making 10-11 million for the next 4 years. Right now Evans is a member of the infamous "Million Dollar Point" club, as he is getting paid 1 million dollars for every point he averages.

I don’t like the 2nd trade is because two first round picks and a sizable expiring contract are too much to give up for a team that will not be contending any time soon. They are over-achieving and might even make the playoffs this year, but it would honestly be better for them to not make the playoffs and pick up someone in the lotto who can help them.
