ballaj334ParticipantEven though i know putting a trade idea up on nbadraft is just asking for stones to be thrown at you i honestly think this helps both teams…
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=b6yjk3fI think Garnett going to brooklyn for kris humphries and marshon brooks makes great sense for both teams.
Brooklynn is no longer a rebuilding team and marshon brooks who they did not want to lose over the summer is getting minimal minutes and is exactly what boston needs next to rondo over the next few seasons. An athletic wing player who can score the ball. As for humphries he has a similar contract to garnett but a a year less and much younger. He fits the mold of a rebounder and a guy who can get you between ten and 15. His contract would expire following next season unlike garnetts which is a three year deal.
Brooklyn gets KG who adds a winning leader to a locker room and immediately brings a four in who can play nicely off of brook lopez and deron williams by stepping out and knocking down 15 footers. His leadership in the locker room and on the defensive end can be great for a team that is a win now mode. While i understand most trades are torn apart on this site, i feel boston is in a minor rebuild mode and this trade sets them up to be competitive in the next few years and it could be the trade that helps spring brooklyn into title contention. If i am danny ainge and billy king im on the phone right now getting it done.0 - Posted on: Mon, 02/04/2013 - 5:26pm #744528

Chilbert arenasParticipantBrooklyn would love to do this deal, but the Celtics wouldn’t help out their divisional foe.

ballaj334Participanti get that but boston is looking to semi rebuild and it puts them in a better situation in a couple of years you know? by the time they will be looking to really compete again it will be when kgs deal is about up

Chilbert arenasParticipantI’ll give you Brooks as part of the rebuilding process but Humphries? Not the prototypical Celtic player.

ballaj334Participanthe only has a two year deal its like taking on marshon brooks and getting out of garnetts deal a year earlier

drk3351ParticipantI think Brooklyn would have to give up a little more but good trade idea.

phila9012Participantbrooklyn could throw in their first round pick just to sweeten it a little bit, but they really dont have any other assets to a rebuilding team, the only other young asset is tornike shengelia.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantgarnett would use his no trade clause… is everyone forgetting the massive beef these two teams have? rondo and humphries hate each other, and garnett had most of the nets throwing punches at him. while on paper it works, in real life it wouldnt work at all because it would implode team chemistry of both teams
