morestealsthanscoresParticipantThis trade inspired by a realgm.com story claiming the possibility of a gilbert arenas-vince carter trade.
who wins and loses this trade? who would do it?
WASHINGTON GETS:
Vince Carter
Tyler HansbroughORLANDO GETS:
Gilbert Arenas
Danny GrangerINDIANA GETS:
Jameer Nelson
Nick YoungOrlando rolls the dice on Arenas, Indiana finds a point guard, Washington gets rid of Arenas and finds a 2 guard, plus some defensive backup for Blatche.
Maybe a little harsh for Indiana and a little strong for Orlando, but Larry Bird has done stranger things…

IndianaBasketballParticipantLOL… So wait… We’d basically be trading Danny Granger and Tyler Hansbrough for Jameer Nelson and Nick Young???
Larry Bird should be fired just for even thinking about doing this trade.

joecheck88ParticipantThats real strong for Orlando and real weak for Indy. Maybe if Indy keeps Granger and gives up Murpgy but even then Murphy is valuable with his contract and is a douible double guy.

morestealsthanscoresParticipantsomewhat fairly, trade gets slated!
so next question- balance the equation:
carter goes to washington
arenas goes to orlando
nelson goes to indianawith those three players set, how would you make the trade even?

morestealsthanscoresParticipanti quite like the troy murphy idea…jameer nelson at 8 million is pretty cheap, and probably a better player than murphy- though murphy’s expiring contract and perfect fit with orlando makes the trade pretty even…

joecheck88Participantgilbert arenas and brandon rush to orlando
rashard lewis and tyler hansbrough to washington
jameer nelson, nick young and al thornton to indiana.
a little different this would open up washingtons point guard spot for john wall and put rashard lewis in a good role as the starting 3. starting 5 john wall, randy foye, rashard lewis, andray blatch, javale mcgee.
orlando gets an upgraded version of jameer nelson in arenas. he can create his own shot and score at will. brandon rush can knock down shots and defend. starting 5 gilbet arenas, vince carter, brandon rush, brandon bass, dwight howard.
indiana gets an upgrade at the 1, and 2 scorers. they give up their last 2 first round picks but both have been relative disappointments. they dont give up much. starting 5 jameer nelson, nick young, danny granger, troy murphy, roy hibbert.
