This idea came to me at 2 am last night as I was tossing n turning in conjunction with preparing for the NBA draft which is now under 1 week away. Such exciting times.

I thought to myself, the Knicks really want a big man, and if the 3 bigs go 1, 2, 3, I can see them trading back to take Cauley-Stein.

Charlotte could really use a shooter…

so the trade goes as follows:

New York gets Noah Vonleh and #9 (selects Willie Cauley-Stein)

Charlotte gets #4 (selects D’Angelo Russell)

    What cha’ll think?

Don’t think WCS will be there at 9 though.

It’s a foregone conclusion the Knicks are signing Greg Monroe. I can see them doing this deal and taking Payne at 9, who may very well be there since he fractured a finger in his Denver workout.

However, I doubt Russell truly falls past Philly. Would Charlotte do the same deal to get Hezonja?

I’ve had the sneaking suspicion that one of them would get traded ever since we aquired Hawes.

Knicks will fill the need for bigs via FA.
Phil has come out and said they’ll likely drafting a guard in the draft..it’s either Mudiay or Russel.
    Vonleh is not even good…

Noah is still developing and fits today’s NBA game really well plus he is only turn 20 years old this year which makes him younger than some of the players this year. If I were the hornets, I will keep Noah on the team for sure. This trade seems fair to me but I wouldn’t do it.

So whereas before I was like, O.K., we’re going to draft a big, now we have to be open to what’s there for us that makes our team different. So that changes up our look now and our look next week when we go into the free-agent chase. So we’ve had to do a lot more work.

I am new to posting here so I am not sure how to put his words in quotes but that was what he said in the interview. I don’t think that means he is drafting a guard. I think it means that before the franchise was crushed by the ping pong balls he was planning on drafting Towns or Okafor. I think he realizes that he needs to look at all options at 4 now.

honestly I doubt that Russle will drop out of the top 3 so if this trade were to go through then the hornests with the 4th pick could take a chance with Emmanuel Mudiay or if they could also select Justice Winslow. although despite his shot selection (witch showes that the perimeter isn’t his first choice) can be made up by his strength on defense and his aggressiveness witch is what exactly what the Hornets need

(ESPN2.) Just wanted to give everybody the heads up.

Obviously, he’s unlikely to break any huge news, or anything. Could still be interesting though, I suppose. They intend to ask (among other things) whether Okafor is "a relic of a bygone era".

Oh, and this is sorta off-topic, but speaking of dinosaurs, what happens to that British girl in "Jurassic World" is, like, total nightmare fuel. I literally haven’t been able to sleep for two days.
