Cleveland trades Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Anderson Varejao, Jarrett Jack and #1 to Minnesota for Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, Robby Hummel and #7.

Minnesota creates a "big 3" in Irving, Martin and Wiggins/ Parker plus this line-up would certainly help save face with the fanbase.

Cleveland granted gives up Irving, but gets a similar level star (Love) in return and adds a PG that would seem to be a better fit alongside Waiters. Plus this line-up might improve whatever pitiful chance they have of trying to get Lebron to return.

    Projected Line-ups:

Minn: Irving, Martin, Wiggins/ Parker, Varejao, Dieng

    Cle: Rubio, Waiters, McDermott/ J. Young/ *, Love, Pekovic

Where did Minnesota get the #7 pick from?

Having delusions of grandeur huh? This is just turrible like Charles Barkley would say.

This trade seems a little silly.  It’s like the star players on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves are just making a change of scenery, and not changing teams.  There are two many pieces being moved in this trade, and I highly doubt that Kyrie Irving would sign an extension in Minnesota.

This trade is mostly interesting because if it went down we would get the chance to see how the "wolves" would perform in the east. Would Love, Rubio, and Pek be good enough to make the playoffs on cleveland in the east? The trade is unrealistic, but not the worst proposal ever.

Both stars would walk at FA. Neither situation for either player got better. Martin is not a big 3 type player either. Good effort on the trade, I like the "think big" trades… just dont really think the trade makes any sense though

Cleveland trade away most of their team and A Bennett still can’t get a starting spot.

Can the trade even work with salaries, as Love and Pekovic are on big money now, although Varejao would be on plenty so it could.  It does seem to be just teams trading contract problems, and Irving wouldn’t stay in Minnesota and Love doesn’t want Cleveland.
