Pelicans: Omer Asik, Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur, 25th pick (from Houston)

    Rockets: Goran Dragic

Suns: Eric Gordon, Kenneth Faried, 11th pick (Nuggets)

Nuggets: Gerald Green, Ryan Anderson, 18th pick or 14th pick (Phoenix)

    Breakdown:

The Pelicans get a center on an expiring contract. Asik is a good center and can take the more bulkier defensive assigments. They also get Wilson Chandler who is underused and underrated. Darrell Arthur is just filler. They also get a coveted 1st round pick.

The Rockets get the best starting point guard available in their price range. It will allow them to move Lin to SG. They only have to give up Asik and a 1st round pick. Dragic also plays the 2guard and could allow Harden to handle the ball.

The Suns lose the MIPOY (most improved player of the year), and All-NBA 3rd team player in Dragic, but they do get Kenneth Faried and Eric Gordon. Faried makes this deal attractive, but Gordon isn’t too bad himself. He did have problems with injuries, but Phoenix has found ways to fix that. Gordon also is a better fit at SG. They also aquire the 11th pick. There are a lot of talented players at 11 including James Young and anyone who falls out of the top 10.

Im not sure if Houston would have room in their backcourt for Dragic with Hardin, Lin and Beverley still there after this deal.

Serious? Houston would be getting an all NBA PG for a 20mpg player that doesn’t fit with the personnel they got.  That’s about the only part of the trade that does make sense

If I’m Denver I like the trade. If I’m New Orleans I like the trade. If I’m Houston I like the trade. If I’m Phoenix….. I would NEVER EVER make this trade.

Okay. So why would Phoenix not like the trade? Is is trading Dragic? Because I say sell high on him and make Bledsoe your starting point guard. Please explain why PHX would not like the trade.

maybe you could sell high on him, but thats not a package you get when you sell high on an All NBA performer. Gordon is damaged goods, never gonna be the same and is on a terrible contract. Faried is solid, but a role player. And the 11th pick comes at the added cost of one of your other picks.

You dont trade your best player amd a lottery pick for a package like that.

Furthermore in one years time that team would become EXPENSIVE. Gordon is a declining talent and overpaid. Bledsoe will garner a huge payday this off-season and the year after is Faried’s payday. Is moving up from the 14th pick to the 10th really worth it? I don’t even know how you sell high on Gragic. He was the backbone of a Phoenix team that nearly made the playoffs in the western conference and is under contract 2 more years dirt cheap.

Please explain. Because I see Gallinari as the starter moving forward and Anderson as a nice floor spacer. Green gives you an awesome player. He shoots the ball and runs the fast break. Gerald Green would play the 2 spot. Either JaVale McGee or Mozgov will start at center.

      team:

      G: Ty Lawson

      G: Gerald Green

      F: Danilo Galanari

      F: Ryan Anderson

      C: McGee/ Mozgov

Simplify your trade idea, most trades don’t involve 4 teams inless it involves a Superstar and Max contract, which often times has to be off set by several teams taking random pieces for 2nd round picks and Cash incentives

The trade you suggest has too much going on in it too work IMO

Not to mention every team is in the Western Conference, where the teams would trading talent and picks to future competition (Playoffs and Free Agency)
