PNUTParticipantIve been thinking about this for a while Marcus Thornton has not been playing allot, and so is Jason Thompson. And I’m thinking this may be a good trade hornets are lacking a PF/C, And the kings need some shooters and Marcus Thornton is a stud shooter. So i tried JT for Marcus. And it said the hornets are over the salary cap so i added Pondexter to the mix so what do you guys think of this trade. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2ch3tdy

ChewyParticipantHornets get Thompson so that they can play him behind West and Okafor? Why give up a potential starting 2 guard for a bench big?
Kings get a potential starting 2 and open up room for playing time and growth of Cousins and Whiteside. Also more playing time for Dalembert since Cousins and Whiteside can both potentially play the PF.
Looks like a one sided trade to me.
Reke-Thornton-Casspi-Cousins-Dalembert looks like a promising line up.

ChewyParticipantHow many NBA GM’s do you talk to on a regular basis? For me it’s none, so if thats ur policy then you will be sorely disappointed for the rest of your life. BTW your on a basketball website where people come to talk about basketball ideas. The guy wanted to talk to other people about him trade idea, whats wrong with that? If you don’t like the thread then simply don’t comment and move onto the next one.

joecheck88ParticipantI think New Orleans is happy with Jason Smith right now. They can save their pieces to possibly bring in a good wing(maybe Andre Iguodala for instance)

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantthat rumor has died down over the last few weeks…I’m glad the Sixers aren’t trading good players for useless cap space and average players…IMO Meeks is better than Thorton

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThey bring the same thing to the table…I’ll take Meeks with his Kentucky college career against Thorton’s at LSU…Meeks would look great in NO next to Paul…

ChewyParticipantHas proven already that he is a much better NBA player than Meeks. If we were playing a college game I’d take Meeks though.
