I’m ready to get killed…but trying to figure out a way to get Simmons on my Lakers so please go lightly on me, ahem…

    Lakers get #1 (Simmons)

    Suns get Randle

76ers get #2 from Lakers (Ingram) and choice of Bledsoe, Knight, or #4 pick from the Suns

    Thoughts?

Franchise b/c other top players are going to Want to play w/ him……… But Phila is No way trading that pick….. & there is No way they are Drafting Ingram over Simmons……

I heard an interview w/ Bryan Colangelo & he sounded like a man that just found out he had the Only winning ticket for the Power-Ball……

He said Ingram is "a nice player"……. & then spent 5 minutes Gushing over Simmons & talking about how any team can guard Simmons, Embiid & Okafor for 48 minutes per game…….

He added that "we are in No rush to make Any trades b/c we have plenty of 1st round picks over the next few years……….& cap space so we can sit back & pick & choose what works for us ………… & this is still a process that we will take one step at a time over the next few years while we develop these young kids…"

I think the Lakers will get a great player in Ingram & he will fit nicely w/ your team going forward……. But Brett Brown coached Simmons’ father & their Strength & Conditioning coach also worked w/ Simmons as a kid so they have pre-existing relationships w/ this kid & his family & it feels like a perfect fit……

Embiid is easy to guard for 48 minutes.  Park a defender in front of the bench or take away his crutches.  Either should be successful.

Why would the Suns want Randle? Especially if the price is one of their two really good point guards and the #4? Randle didn’t even go #4 in his own draft.

I’m pretty sure he was saying either Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, or the 4 pick. Just one of those choices not a combination of them.

Correct, I said "choice of".  I think if the Suns keep the pick they will not find a player better suited for them than Randle at #4 as they are already loaded with guards, and I see some combo of Hield, Dunn, and Murray as likely to be available there.  Would they add any of those to Bledsoe, Knight, and Booker?  Or, could they use some help at PF  instead (then the question is Bender over Randle?).  Randle is a double-double machine and has a great motor. I like him in LA, but would view him as a reasonable price to pay as the differential between Simmons and Ingram if the 76ers somehow didn’t see much of a gap between the two as some pundits have indicated.

        Anyhow, that was my thinking…

That could happen if the 76ers sour on Ben Simmons for some reason. If the 76ers soured enough on Simmons to make that move then would the Lakers even want him?

Good trade, fair trade, if you’re that high on Simmons.

I think the suns would be part of it in a blink, trading one of their lead guard, saving money and filling team needs.

    Randle-Dunn-Davis, fuck it.

That’s about it. And then I’d be game.

    Sixers get: Ingram, Knight, #28

    Lakers get: #1

    Suns get: Randle

There would probably need to be filler to make it work.

D’Russ-Clarkson-Ingram-Randle is fast-paced, athletic, and eventually a great outside shooting team. Everything you need for the modern NBA team. It even has players that can guard multiple positions. It sounds like the ideal start to me.
