     For sure, the Blazers.

Nurkic really played like he wanted out.

If Nurkic plays like he did in his best period he could be a star.

    Getting a 1st for a 2nd also is a bonus.

My 1st reaction was a loud WTF out loud thinking it was straight up Nurkic for Plumlee, but the 2nd for 1st round makes it more reaosnable. I see the potential in Nurkic but watching lot of Blazer games I liked what Plumlee did for that team.

At first glance, it looks like a Blazers win, as Nurkic is a potential star centre, whereas Plumlee has high energy role player written all over him. But for Denver it might be addition by subtraction. Nurkic and Jokic play the same position and weren’t a great fit together. Plumlee should be able to play with Jokic in stretches and won’t necessarily be looking for or getting starters minutes. I still say Portland wins, but it’s not robbery.

Does Denver need anymore passing big men? Seems kind of redundant to add Plumlee when you have Jokic already.

I don’t like this trade for Denver. There has to be a demand for Nurkic out there, right? The guy has played well when he actually got playing time, his problem has been that he’s not as good as Jokic.

Meanwhile they’re still saddled with a bunch of veteran contracts that take away from their young core.

I would of thought New Orleans would of been keen on Nurkic – maybe they didn’t have the right assets

You’re Denver. You are either going to have a late lotto pick or get the No. 8 seed and give up 600 points in four games in a sweep by the Warriors. Why trade this pick for Plumlee. They should be selling. Unload Chandler, Nurkic and whatever else you can and try to pile up a few picks. Put something around Murray and Jokic.

Mainly, I just wanted that first and Gary Harris for Okafor or Noel.

I’m interested to see if they use Plumlee similarly to Jokic bringing the ball up the court and working out of the high post off the bench or if they implement him into the starting lineup.

Denver pulled off a good trade here. First, Plumlee is a not a rental, he is a long term piece. Granted he will cost some money due to restricted free agency, but it is not like Denver is under cap pressure. The reality is Denver needed to move Nurkic while he still had value. His -10.3 net rating shows he has not been a good player, so I doubt there was this huge demand for him. Plus, if they held on to him, he was going to impove his stock. Now, he might fit in better with another team, but that would not help his trade value if he continued struggling in Denver. Plumlee will be a better fit as a backup to Jokic and there is a chance they could play together. People are also overrating the value of the first round pick they gave up. It will likely be in the 20’s and the odds are against a team picking in that range drafting a contributor.
