thetruthParticipantsince theirs rumors coming out of houston. that mac and adelman are snapping at each other over when mac come backs or not.i think the rockets who have been looking to trade him for some time. will try their best to get rid of him. now heres all the places i think he could go and fit in nice.
1,chiacgo bulls- imagina rose and mcgrady in the same backcourt.thats crazy. i belive anywhere tmac goes he will be motivated to show he still got it.
2.washington wizards- i know its a crowded backcourt. but they could find ways to dump foye, young and stevenson contracts. this would give the wiz a good 2 they ever had in awhile, imagine a healthy arenas, mcgrady and butler trio.
3.indiana-idk if bird and crew would take on mcgrady. or if mcgrady would accpet going to a place like indy. but i’ll take mcgrady over rush anyday. mcgrady and granger thats crazy.
4.dallas-it couldnt hurt them. they need a 2. mcgray wouldnt have to do too much there. but just score and help dirk out.
5.new orleans-why the hell not.
6.blazers-he could play the 3 there.
7.knicks-its a long shot but he would fit in very nice .

QHaynes20Wherever T-Mac goes…he will be the 3rd option.
Also, he will go to a team who would want to shed salary.

esperanzafleet69Participantum i think the knicks would be a terrible fit. the fastest offense in the league with basically the most injury prone player too? recipe for disaster… only good fit i like there is portland cause is would actually be possible for him to fit.

thetruthParticipantthose teams i mention. would take a chance on him for one year.

FastAndFuriousParticipantMcGrady Would Not Be The Third Option Anywhere He Goes…..2nd Or First At Best

QHaynes20McGrady is always hurt and he’s only gonna be a hot addition because his 22 million dollar contract

flibbenmcgParticipantI could maybe see the hornets as a good fit if they could/would afford his massive contract. They are in desperate need of a talented scoring wing that could work with chris paul, but could also score by beating his man off the dribble. Naturally this is all iffy until T Mac comes back and shows if hes the T Mac of a couple seasons ago instead of the rim stuffing wonder he was last year.

quincey hodgesi do like the hornets option. i think a guy that talented you have to take a chance on even if they have a history of injuries. when someone is that good teams tend to do that. look at how many teams wanted grant hill and you see how big z has done after being injured alot

RICO 1981ParticipantAll your scenarios seem to be based on the idea that T-MAC will be 100%, which I just don’t think is the case. I really can’t remember a season he went the whole 82 season without back spasms, or something. But for one year I think that dallas could use him off the bench, with the jet. That might help them get back to the finals, after kobe retires.

TyroberParticipanttmac is viewed as an expiring contract right now and nothing else. tmac is hurt entirely too much to be considered a great player anymore

quincey hodgesyou can still be a good player if you come back healthy..many players have IF they are healthy…only time will tell if he can come back healthy though

KathleenTurnerOverdriveParticipantsince we’re atlking about trading t-mac. why not cleveland as a destination? it’ll take big z and hickson at least to get him (most likely more) but it might be a good fit for both teams.cleveland’s chances for the chip gets stronger and houston gets cap relief
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 1:55pm #232207
quincey hodgesi doubt if the cavs are willing to give up hickson. hes a good young player that the cavs really likes..
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 1:59pm #232208

KathleenTurnerOverdriveParticipanttrue, but if they want Lebron to stick around they need to win a chip THIS YEAR. sometimes you have to sacrifice the future for the present. just like the cetics did
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:05pm #232210
quincey hodgeswhich makes sense if you know mcgrady is coming back in top form which you dont and with his injury history you cant chance it. the celtics did it with out that chance since ray allen wasn’t coming back from a major knee injury nor was kg. also without z what happens when shaq misses games(and you already know that happens every year) then they are stuck with who at centers battling against d howard, hortford, jermaine oneal?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:15pm #232213

KathleenTurnerOverdriveParticipantsometimes you just have to chance it. it’s a gamble but if you want the future of the league to stick around you have to take these risks. as for the shaq situation, which are right about, the cavs will have to get creative. i say they should trade a 2nd round pick to san antiono for pf marcus haislip. i have a feeling he’s due. he did well overseas and i think he can contribute, but they will need one more big body to go along with him. jordan and the bulls won six chips without a great center. they just need a collection of decent big bodies.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:29pm #232219
quincey hodgesyeah you take risks but this risk doesn’t have a high potential for reward. you know it take more then a season for a player to get back to there old self after knee surgery like that right?..and with mcgrady how much do there chances go up for winning a title?..it doesn’t make them better then boston or howard. you only morgage youre future for damn near sure things that’s what boston did. getting mcgrady after a injury like that is not even close to a sure thing for this year. and the bulls won without a center because they had the best player in the world and a second hall of famer and a all star player in grant at the pf or one of the best rebounders in basketball in rodman. if you dont have a good center then you have to have a very good power forward. you dont win it with just a collection of big men

QHaynes20I want the 22 million dollar man on my team.
Honestly…he’s not gonna be a big impact player if he gets traded IMO. He’s not the McGrady of old.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:40pm #232224

KathleenTurnerOverdriveParticipantyou have a point there, t-mac is coming off micro-fracture surgery which is no joke. i guess it would depend on what they give up for him. i think t-mac can still be a good addition. kinda play the same role pippen did his last year in portland when he was their pg. if you play him at pg, shift mo over to the 2 and have lebron stay at 3, that could be a potent offense. bron can switch off to 4 when moon is in and you can have a big rotation of shaq, side-show-bob, haislip(if they trade for him), and darnell jackson. they can still pick up other players through free agency during the year that can help.if i were the cavs i’d prbably offer west before hickson is mentioned though
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:42pm #232225
quincey hodgesif you could get him for say…gibson, and side show bob then yeah id say go for it. and that may sound crazy but from what reports are saying it seems houston are near the point of almost giving him away. and if the salaries match up then its perfect for next year because his and shaqs salary comes off the books
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:48pm #232231

KathleenTurnerOverdriveParticipantwell if those reports are for real, i say they go for it as well, but they are going to need big z’s contract to make it work financially. t-mac is getting 22 mil this year. even with z involved i’d do it though. he’s a free agent after the year and might end up retiring
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 2:53pm #232234
quincey hodgesi might consider it if shaq wasnt so injury prone and if i knew mcgrady would be close to what he used to be. because a team with jackson and side show bob down low would get killed by orlando and boston and atlanta. miami would even kill that front line as well as the bucks, bulls, raptors
