joe360ParticipantWhat ya’ll think about this trade idea. Tor trades Bargnani and the 5th pick to Utah for Al Jefferson and the 12th pick. As a Raptors fan I think it could work and would benefit both teams. Tor would finally get a legit young centre and move on from the bargnani drama while Utah would be getting a young scorer and someone who extends the defence to play along a tough rebounder in Milsap and Favors. They would also be getting the 5th pick to go along with the 3rd pick they already have so they can add more size or w/e else they need. And toronto would still get to draft a young guy. The talent level is not very big after the first 2 picks in this draft anyhow.

MJBrownParticipantThe guys they’ve spent money on and drafted over the past few years suggest that they’re looking for athletes. Jefferson is a great fantasy guy, but I don’t see hiim helping the raptors based on the direction that Colangelo likes to go

NCarmean18ParticipantThis is a weak draft. That’s abvious. But to say the "talent level" isn’t very good? Maybe a handful of these guys will ever become starters, but to say everyone other than Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving are untalented is unfair. Have you heard of Enes Kanter? He’s a big body, and an international who was judged as too good to play in the NCAA. That’s not talented. Kemba Walker was the most clutch player in this year’s March Madness Tournament, and he’s not talented? Jimmer Fredette can shoot farther than most people could dream of on a consistant basis. That’s not talent? Kenneth Faried is a Power Forward and he can outrebound anybody in this class. That’s not talent. There are plenty of talented individuals in this year’s draft, and to take that away from them is a little unfair.

joe360ParticipantI said the talent wasn’t big. What i mean is that who we would get at the 5th pick will not be too far talent wise from the 12th pick. Kanter will be gone by the 5th pick. At 12 we would still be able to get a solid contributor.

joe360ParticipantBut you see bargnani helping the Raps out?? Raps will never win with a shooting guard for a centre.

WinterSoldierParticipantI would do it.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantBargnani could be pretty decent in Utah. He plays 0 defence, but with Favors and Millsap next to him it could allow him to thrive a little more, the same way Marc Gasol’s defense has allowed Randolph to play more offense than defense and thrive in their system, albeit, Randolph has improved a little bit on defense from his days with Portland and the Knicks, although not by much. There are some players Toronto could grab with the 5th pick, so I think they’d be reluctant to swap their 5th for the 12th pick.

scliddiardParticipantAs a Jazz fan I like the trade, Big Al is good and would be a good fit for Tor. Barg. can score but his D and rebounding is suspect, along side Favors he would be OK though. I would still want Kanter in the draft but then at the 5 we could get help at he 3, an area we need help at. To bad the Jazz FO and the Raptors FO won’t make it happen.

Snubs15ParticipantThe raptors need to aim for a veteran who can rebound, play defense and help lead the team. Jeffersons a good player but hes not athletic and not known for being a good defender so i dont like the trade.

CodySLCParticipantAs a Jazz fan I much rather have Jefferson. I don’t want a 7″ center who gets 5rebounds a game and shoots jump shots all game.

Jazz_ItalyParticipantIf Bargs plays 0 D, to be honest Big Al plays 1 D
with the 3 picks we could get kanter, so our bigs we’ll be very versatile and younger
plus we’ll have the 5 pick to take another good piece
