smithers3551ParticipantThis is if neither one moves up at the lottery. Tor trades Amir Johnson and the 8th and 56th pick and for 5th and 36th pic. This gives Sacramento a servicable big to play with cousins and allows them to address point guard and wings with their to first rd picks. It allows toronto to move up a draft a top wing and makes room up front for last years pick.

DolanCareParticipantThe possibilities of a 5th pick in this year’s draft are ALL BETTER THAN AMIR JOHNSON!!!!!!

smithers3551Participantyes, you are correct all the possiblities for 5th pick in the draft have more potential then Amir, However if you continued to read my post it said Amir and the 8th pick for the 5th pick.

boshjonesfordParticipantit all depends if they want to adress the small forward position (harrison Barnes) then they wouldnt do this trade, but if they want to adress the PG (Lillard, marshal) or the PF (Jones, Sulinger) then they may be interested in this trade. If you replace Ed with Amir then there is a hiighert probolity of the trade going through as Amir johnsons contract isnt that good ( its not bad either considering the fact that he is still young and relitevly effictive)

Bossy13ParticipantMaybe if you got rid of the second round picks and swapped Amir for Ed Davis, then I could see Sacramento at least consider it… but still doubt they’d be interested in moving back in the draft.

Wahoo757ParticipantHas anyone not gotten negative points on a trade proposal thread? Ha ha.

HotSnotParticipantIf I’m Toronto, I do this trade only for the cap space savings.. however seeing as how the Maloofs are penny pinching these days I doubt it happens… plus Sactown already has a glut of post players to develop.

Jlv2012pulling the trigger on Amir Johnson. Just like they did with John Salmons in last year’s draft. How’s that working out?

TyroberParticipantI find it amazing you think you can turn the 8th pick into the 5th pick AND turn the 56th pick into the 36th pick all while only giving up Amir Johnson. NO. The 5th pick in this draft is going to be a very solid player. After Davis it is really wide open and two of MKG, Robinson, Drummond, Beal, or Barnes is going to be there at 5.

chocboywndrParticipantI would rather try to trade Amir or Ed plus 56th pick to get back in to draft in early twenties try to get another good young player.

smithers3551ParticipantI would have no problem trading for a second first round pick. As for tyrober I would like to know why those players are so much better then lamb, pj3 etc that would be available later besides team needs. Based on drummonds season in college he may never be as good as amir

benny15Participantwhy would sacramento move down on the draft where there targetted prospects are in th higher part of it while adding salary on the pay-roll for 3 more seasons when they can resign their own long, mobile and athletic big to a simillar price range who is a much more proven pair with Cousins. basically, how is this deal, beneficial to the Kings as much as the Raptors? who by the way in this deal gets to 1) Move up on the draft board 2) Shed Salary 3) Clear minutes for their bigmen.
big mystery of wich team the one who suggested this deal…

TyroberParticipantIf you don’t think they are as good as Amir then why would you want to trade him for them?

smithers3551ParticipantI said drummond may not turn out as good and that it is about team needs

smithers3551ParticipantAnd which long athletic bigs are you talking about

Inside ScoopParticipantEd Davis is more valueable then Amir Johnson.
I could see the Raptors trading Ed and the 8th Pick to move up in the draft to select MKG or Barnes

chocboywndrParticipantMy ideal draft is Barnes as first pick we make trade get into twenties and get Wroten. Next year it is like you have 3 first round picks on the team plus you have cap space to get so veterans. Team is set for years to come. Demar, Wroten, Barnes, Val, is nice young core. Calderon tutors Wroten for a year maybe comes back at reduced salary as eventual back up Davis, Johnson, Johnson frontcout depth couple free agents thats a solid team, and Casey is excellent coach.
