    According to this article Rudy Gay & OJ Mayo were the worst 2 defenders in the league last season.

     

    The top 10 defenders were: Bogut, Pryzbilla, Camby, Odom, LeBron, Thad Young, Nick Young, Iggy, Moon, Delonte West

    The worst 10 defenders were:  CJ Miles, Bargnani, Speights, Gay, Mayo, Durant, Deron Williams, Finley, Bibby, Rose

    I didn’t know that. The guy is a fantastic defender and rebounder. Love the guy. To bad he can’t score…If he could he would be a top center in the league.

    Didn’t know Mayo was a bad defender…

    I think Brandon Rush is emerging as a top notch defender of the future. One of the best shot blocking shooting guard next to D-Wade, and teammate Donte Jones.

    Those lists you cited depend on the players backups as much as the actual player. Bogut is so high because he is the only good defensive big on the team. If a player has a great back-up, they look bad and vice-versa.

    Yeah Mayo is vastly over rated as a defender…theres no way that guy can be a lock down defender…Gordon absolutely abused him last night…He drove past Mayo with ease on numerous occasions

    I mean, we know Andrea Bargnani plays bad defense, but those plus minus lists are all so stupid. Obviously people on losing teams are going to have a horrible plus/minus. It is just a bad idea to judge individual defenders by plus/minus systems and I honestly wish people would stop judging defenders by that system, which is clearly a large part of this article. Watch people play defense, see how they react as far as man to man situations, how they play team defense and if they have desire on that end of the court. Than, tell me who can play defense.
