Bryant24ParticipantWhat freshman will have impact on college ball besides john wall?
My pick is Avery Bradley. Bradley is a great defender he is fast got a silky smooth jumper solid handles and dunk on you if he drive to the paint. Only thing i can say bad about him is he need to work on his playmaking skills and become a pure point guard he can play the 2 in the nba i think he has more potential as a point guard though. Comparison:Russell Westbrook with a better jumper
Another freshman is Derrick Favors a 6’9 forward with elite athleticism he is liking a one and done player he got good post moves but not great post moves. In the nba he could be a combo forward but he lacks and outside jumpshot and handles. Favor is a great shotblocker with an crazy wingspan.
Comparison:Josh Smith is what this site says he also reminds me of mike beasleyHonorable mention:
Xavier Henry is underrated player in this class he has a great jumper but he needs to work on his ballhandling and he isnt very athletic as an avery bradley or john wall. Needs to drive to the hoop more.
Lance stephenson is a head case and he has a bad attitude but he can score buckets and can pass.If he gets in shape i think he is a lottery pick he’s a sleeper.

quincey hodgeswow..derrick favors reminds you of beasley?..i just dont see it. beasley had more moves a much much better jump shot. i also cant agree with the josh smith one as far as jumping..yeah favors can jump but hes not on josh smiths level. right now he has the potenial to be very good though he doesnt really do aything very well but finds ways to score. id have to say, even though they arent the same, he reminds me of a potenial (key word) bigger d wilkens since neither handles the ball very well or shots very well but boh finds ways to score and are athletic

WOW I hope you’re not serious. Favors has a GREAT looking jumpshot…..very good mid range shooter and has become a very solid 3 point shooter. Dude is 6’10 234 and just turned 18 years old and is a dominant rebounder, great scorer, and great shot blocker. People keep saying that Favors will play SF but I seriously doubt it. He will be one of the best big men in the NBA in a few years. MARK IT DOWN

Favor jumper is ok at this point. Yeah i agree with u he is a power foward not a small foward

McWinningParticipanti agree with Avery Bradley he really fits Texases need and could helplead them to a title.

JNixonParticipantWow…Im sorry about that man lol. Shouldve read it all the way.
I think its Derrick Favors hands down. He reminds me alot of Mike Beasley as well, and I think he will put up stats that are similar. He is the real deal, and if you watched Mike Beasley he didnt use alot of moves, he would seal his man off with his strength and get close enough to the rim to get an easy finish. Beasley is the better shooter though and he shows more touch around the basket, but Favors dunks it alot more around the rim than Beasley does.

HaleParticipantThe All American who signed with Minnesota was Royce White.

ball4life66Participant^I can see similarities between him and Michael Beasley but you’re wrong about his jumper….it does not look weird at all..he has very good form on his jumpshot. I saw him play 10+ times last year and he shot consistantly from 15+ feet. Favors just reminds me so much of Kevin Garnett minus being a headcase.
0- Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 12:07pm #202343

Bryant24Participantyea i been lookin for a comparison i think the kevin garnett one is the best i saw a game on espnu he was dominating in the paint but his jumper wasnt on but maybe it was just that game

ball4life66Participant^Which game was it?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 12:15pm #202348

Bryant24ParticipantIt was the game vs demarcus cousins but i saw the second half he had an amazing double double though.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 12:25pm #202351
ball4life66ParticipantThat was the game he dropped 39 points and 21 rebounds but his jumper was definently on that game. He was 2-3 from 3 and hit 6 jumpers from 15 feet and beyond.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 12:38pm #202357

Bryant24ParticipantI saw the second half im not saying he lacking ajumper i just saying needs better shot mechanics a better form
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 2:10pm #202400

grohe3ParticipantI think Kenny Boynton Jr. because of how depleted Florida is at Guard. He has a sweet jumper and knock down any distance shot

QHaynes20John Henson if he gets the PT will be better then most of these prospects
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/18/2009 - 2:25pm #202402
TH38L4CKM4M84from marquette. They lost a lot from last year and hes going to get a lot of pt alongside jimmy butler and lazar hayward. Mayomons 6’6” and is a beast in the post and midrange and is going to punish anyone who tries to defend him

FutureoftheGameAnyone ever hear of Danny Jennings?? He probably wont be amazing but he will end up starting for the Mountaineers at center and they will be pretty darn good next year soo, he will make an impact.
