NCarmean18ParticipantTo recap, my last post about LeBron James had the New York Knicks as the 5th best destination for LeBron James during this offseason. Well, the post ended up being so long that I decided to post these five teams in their own individual forum posts, and the only way you would know which team was where, you would have to at least glance at each post. But fear not, whenever I am done with these forum threads, I will recap the five teams on the final post, as well as announce the other three teams that earned my consideration. But as for right now, this is my 4th best free agent destination, so let’s get into it!
#4: Miami Heat
That is correct. LeBron James’ squad in which he has appeared in four straight NBA Finals, winning two of them is only my 4th best destination for LeBron, as I honestly feel that three tother eams would present LeBron a better opportunity for success right now, and in the future. But as for right now, we are going to focus on Miami, so let’s get into it.
Why LeBron may stay in Miami:
Reason #1: He chose to leave home for Miami. In 2010, LeBron James had a monumental choice to make. He could either remain faithful to his home state and team that had originally drafted him in 2003, or he could leave town to try to pair up with some better players, and attempt to win a championship elsewhere. Well, he left. He chose Miami to be his new home, and he could very well remain completely faithful to the Miami Heat for offering him the opportunity to win two championships.
Reason #2: The "Big 3": LeBron joined Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. These are two of his best friends, and they all joined forces and set their egos aside in an attempt to win some NBA Championships, and it worked. They made it to the Finals every single season, taking home 50% of the titles. It will be extremely difficult for LeBron James to leave his buddies behind, but for a better opportunity to win, he may just very well do just that.
Why LeBron may leave Miami:
Reason #1: Aging. This roster is not getting any younger. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are both 32 and 30 respectively, as LeBron will turn 30 years old during this upcoming season. For being "stars", the age of 30 and older is extremely difficult to remain as productive as they were during their youth. There is no doubt in my mind that LeBron James will be fine for another 5-6 years, but Chris Bosh probably only has about 3-4 years of stardom (used lightly) left, and D-Wade will have around only 1-2 more seasons left, if he is lucky.
Reason #2: Dwayne Wade’s Health. D-Wade’s knees are shot. He played horrific basketball during the Finals. You could tell that he wasn’t his normal springy self, and it hurt Miami. Knee injuries are serious, and it can keep star players from remaining dominate for as long as they probably should have been (Tracy McGrady). Wade is the Robin to LeBron’s Batman, but it became apparent that Chris Bosh was carrying the load as the second best player on this team during the NBA Finals, and I do not think that LeBron wants that.
Reason #3: Lack of spending. Outside of Wade, Bosh, and LeBron, the Miami Heat didn’t really spend that much money on other players, and apparently this has LeBron frustrated. LeBron can take a paycut, he will have no problem doing so if it means that his squad will compete better, but D-Wade won’t, and Chris Bosh likely won’t opt out, either. D-Wade has 2 years and about $40 million left on his deal, and he knows good and well that if he opts out, he will more than likely never see $40 million total again in his career, so it would be silly to opt out, especially considering he brought 3 championships to this team. It isn’t his fault that they overpaid for both him and Chris Bosh, it’s Pat Riley’s fault.
Final Opinion: LeBron James seems destined to return to Miami in my personal opinion, and while it may not be a terrible basketball decision, I feel as though three other NBA franchises (that can afford him this offseason) can offer him more, and he should at least explore these possibilities.

Toronto16ParticipantIf it’s a ranking I definitely believe Miami should be ranked first.

IhateusernamesParticipantLebron wants to win 6 titles. If Dwayne Wade is his #2 option, he better be happy with the 2 he has.
