rileymcshea3ParticipantIs their now a consensus top 5? It seems like Jahlil Okafor, D’Angelo Russell, Karl Towns, Stanley Johnson, and Emmanuel Mudaiy are at their own level when it comes to draft prospects. Okafor is probably at the top right now and has been proving at the college level that he deserves to be. Russell’s skills set and IQ have me thinking he’ll be the best offensive player in the draft, combine that when his length and quickness that make him a great defender and rebounder I’d probably take him first overall. Towns oozes with portentously, but doesn’t get to show it at Kentucky. Stanley Johnson has a great all around game and is a winner, kinda the MKG of the draft except Stanley can score. Last, but not least Mudaiy has the elite size and athleticism at the PG position giving him superstar potential, only problem is we haven’t gotten a chance to see him play against good competition.
So are these the top 5 players of the draft come draft time?

goddagParticipantI think right now there is no doubt that Okafor is the top pick. And I think someone is going to have to come on strong to knock him off the top spot. I’m thinking right now Russell at 2, Mudaiy at 3, Towns at 4, and my sleeper at 5 is Willie Cauly Stein. I’ve watched him this year and he’s Kentucky’s best all a round player most of the time. He did himself well by staying in college these last two years.
But these all will change some over the next 5 months. And after Okafor, it’s going to depend on who’s drafting at that position. Because right now if the Timberwolves are drafting in the top 3, I don’t see them drafting either Russell or Mudaiy.
Personally I think they take a big and try and dump Peckovic, to get rid of the big contract they should never have signed him to.0 - Posted on: Fri, 01/30/2015 - 5:37am #964233

hoopscopParticipantIf we use the well known tiers, there is no guy in the highest tier, in the LeBron, Garnett, Davis stratosphere. The second tier, there is a clear twosome, Okafor and Russell.

Memphis MadnessParticipantTrade down within the top 5 to get the best fit.
Okafor is putting up stats but shouldn’t they be undefeated if he is that good?
