Who do you think were the top 5 defensive teams in the NBA last season?

What do you think are the best stats to measure team defense?

    Celtics, Blazers, Lakers, Spurs, Rockets

    I would say

    points per game
    fouls per game
    defensive efficiency

To me the Bobcats are the clear #1.

    I’d say…

    1. Bobcats
    2. Cavs
    3. Magic
    4. Thunder
    5. Heat

    Honorable Mention: Bulls, Lakers

I’d say rebounding differential, FG% allowed and points allowed per possesion are the best stats to measure team defense.

Does anybody remember that the Charlotte Bobcats were the best defensive team in the league last season? Or is it just me?

The Bobcats were a GREAT defensive team. That’s the main reason I thought they’d be a great matchup vs Orlando in the first round, but I was wrong… Their offense was terrible.
