Is the list only for players in/going to be in the nba? because rubio will be a superstar overseas but probably just a good/slightly above average pass first pg if he ever comes to the league

I say watch out for Jeff Teague..he’s got a chance to develop slowly behind a perfect mentor in Mike Bibby. Not to mention, he’s a very talented offensive player with tons of potential.

He doesn’t deserve a mention yet. He hasn’t played yet, won’t for probably 2 more years, and I think he is an overrated NBA prospect. He would never get away with a lot of the passes he makes in Europe, and he looks like he isn’t very quick or athletic. He also struggles to shoot. That he could improve, but he REALLY needs to to succeed in the NBA because he won’t be a great slasher. He looks a lot like Magic Johnson, but he is 6’3″, and these aren’t the ’80s any more. Players can shoot threes and play tight on-ball defense now.

Chris Paul should be ahead of deron williams. Ty Lawson should be no.10.

Brandon Jennings ala the next allen iverson should be no.2.

John Wall is a superstar waiting to happen. Could be better than Rose.

My only issue is Tyreke being on the list, I feel after the kings trade Martin, Evans will become their future SG

i want to know why everyone is on John Wall’s penis he’s good and top player in high skool last year but what about these other guys that were put on level too quick( Greg Oden is koo now but they said he would be the next Bill Russell look it up, D.Miles he was suppose to be a beast but all he could do is dunk and now look at him) i not bad mouthing Wall im just saying before you put him on a list of top 10 guards in the next 10 year let the man play an NBA game first

Rondo should be top 5 because he’s a triple double waiting to happen every nite and all he needs to do is work on his shooting

Dwilks, you’re understating how much he needs to work on his shooting. 63% from the free throw line is abysmal for a PG. His three pointer makes TJ Ford look like a marksman. He’s a great defender and a good passer, but his inability to consistently score should remove him from the top 5.

If Wall makes this list, I dont see why Brandon Knight is left off. (Nevermind, saw him on the honorable mention list, though I like him more than Wall as a prospect. Think a better passing Gilbert Arenas…) Westbrook should be higher, Paul before Williams, Evans is a two guard (If Evans is on this list then so should Lebron and Wade.) And while Lawson is good, he’s a polished player coming off the bench, a great change off pace type player. Flynn is just starting to figure out how good he can be, and his intangibles are through the roof.

mkadoza now i have a question for u was jason kidd ever a good shooter before the nets no he wasnt he had the score on the nets in 02-03 18.7ppg so rondo will get better but for now he has ray, paul, and KG so he doesnt have to score. So rondo will get better when he has to score

Mkadoza I think Brandon Knight is a SG also.

My top 10 in no order.

    John Wall
    Derrick Rose
    Monta Ellis
    Chris Paul
    Deron Williams
    Rajon Rondo
    Brandon Jennings
    Johnny Flynn
    Kemba Walker (haha, bold prediction)
    Russell Westbrook

Paul is the Best..Rose, Williams, Jennings, Wall will like be very very close to each other, Harris is not that good, and Westbrook is just next to guys mentioned before..
    overall – I like it 🙂

    mine would be
    1.C.Paul
2.D.Rose(could be #1 if he is so amazing when 100% healthy)
3.J.Wall(could be #2 if Rose not that good)
    4.D.Williams
5.B.Jennings loks very low for him but i said #2 and #5 will be absolutely in the same category IMO
    6.R.Westbrook
    7.R.Rondo
    8.B.Knight
    9.J.Flynn
    10.T.Lawson

and no Tyreke because he is too ideal size and skills not to play SG, my (might little crazy) predictions- the best SG in next decade!

Is it weird that, as a Kings fan, I kind of agree with D_Legend’s last post…

    Rose/Westbrook
    Wall
    Knight
    Ellis
    Flynn

Watch out for Teague, and Beaubois .
I really ike those 2 as great players in the future..

Don’t compare Rondo to Kidd… As good of a passer Rondo is, Kidd is, was and always has been a top three pure passer of all time. Up there with Magic and Stockton. He shot poorly from the line his first three years, ~69%, but got up to 80%+ for the rest of his career. Rondo’s shot 65%, 61%, 64% for his first three, and is sitting at 42% now. Thats worse than Shaq and Howard. Thats Deandre Jordan bad. From three Kidd went from 27% to 33% to 37% to 31% in his fourth. Rondo has 20% to 26% to 31% to 16% now. Kidd has always been a streak shooter. Rondo needs to stop shooting threes altogther and work on the free throw line. Because right now, you can neutralize his offense much to easily for a top 5 point guard. Especially when Paul, Williams, Nash, and even Jennings appear to be able to get their shots off at will.

As for the Brandon Knight point mikenike, I definitely see Knight as a point guard, mainly because he’s a point guards size. He’s got excellent handles, very quick and shift and has very good court vision and passing ability. Its just that his jump shot is so good, he’s unguardable at the high school level. But he’s not crazy explosive like Wall or Rose so I don’t think he would match up well with NBA 2’s. I definitely think he has the BBall IQ to convert his game to college then the NBA, but his skillset is maybe the best I’ve seen from a PG. Brandon Jennings in high school had a streaky jumper with ultimate speed. Knight has a lights out jumper with very good athleticism, but not world class. Knight imo will end up like a rich man’s Chauncey Billups, in that he will reach his potential much faster.

Yea, Brandon Knight looks very complete to me. He has post up potential too, and even though he’s not as explosive as Wall and Rose, he’s a better point guard than those too IMO. He seems alot more natural running an offense and creting for others in different ways than the dribble drive. I like the Billups comparison alot.
