J-rueMykelParticipantLets do an excercise ranking the top 10 nba players as assets moving forward (contractual agreements shall not be considered). Imagine the NBA chose to blow the teams rosters up, place everyone in the draft pool and let GMs and ownership groups prove their worth their salt by evaluating everyone as a piece to building a franchise for the 16-17 season and beyond. Let’s tread lightly on the negs because I am asking for opinions, and contrary to popular belief everyone’s option carries equal weight I’ll start.
1. KAT 2.Steph 3KD 4.RWB 5.LBJ 6.Ad 7.Kawhi 8.Paul George 9.Damian Lillard 10. Andrew Wiggins
HM=Blake Griffin (Hopefully he gets healthy) Simmons & Ingram (Blue choppers w/potential) Andre Drummond and Boggie (Talented Bigs who maybe someday put it together), Hassan Whiteside (Blooming big with untapped potential) Kyrie (Might have been the greatest rookie ever but has not shown much development) John Wall (Enormous talent but the Wizards regression is alarming), Jimmy Butler (Always improving 2 way player with elite work ethic)
I’m probably forgetting several well deserved candidates, I’m sure you guys will fill in the gaps.

J-rueMykelParticipantBut who did you think I meant by AD at 6, lol. Alphabet probably belongs in HM. Porzingis maybe, maybe not, he has a long way to go to not being a huge net negative on defense, you know half the game.
you editing mfer haha

J-rueMykelParticipant"The best two way player" is a distinction I believe needs to go away. He’s a great defensive player and a very good offensive player, how that becomes the best two way player is beyond me. I think Lebrons versatility on defense and his overall offensive game would make him clearly "The best two way player" if such a thing could exists, but in all honesty I think for you to be able to wear that title you’d have to clearly be the best offensive and the best defensive player in the league, clearly Kawhi is not that. Also, he is somewhat the product of a system. If Paul George and Kawhi switched places 3 years ago, do you think that Kawhi still has the same success, or might you be calling PG the "Best two way player" in the league?

Arc12345ParticipantIf you’re over 30, I’m not sure how you belong on this list…When I think best assests moving forward, I’m thinking under 27 and if it were me really under 25.

J-rueMykelParticipantHere’s why being over 30 could still make you a top candidate on this list. Michael Jordan was hands down the best player in the league when he retired at 34. Probably could have been the best player for at least 1-2 more years even after his 2nd retirement. Lebron is still the most complete player in the league and I believe whichever team got him would be the favorite to win the title in 2016-2017. Therefore, he is still an extremely valuable asset. Also, players must always be evaluated in a moving forward sense, if you think there are 5 players CLE would trade LBJ straight up for your probably doing it wrong, in my humble opinion. Like I said, all opinions welcom, instead of criticizing how about you try contributing?

machu46ParticipantHe isn’t a top 10 player yet, but I honestly think Giannis is probably a top 10 asset right now. A guy capable of averaging an efficient 19, 8, 7, 2, and 2 at 21 years old is just such a unique skillset.

J-rueMykelParticipantConsidering his world class athleticism.
Being coached by Thibs.
And getting space from KAT’s dominance.
And not having to be the guy.
Feels a lot like Scottie Pippen 2.0 to me.
I feel safe saying he’s going to be special.

J-rueMykelParticipantAren’t you the same guy who said no one over 30 should be on this list? And that for you no one over 25 should be?
LBJ is 31 and number 6 on your listStandard hypocritical criticism.
