I got so much respect for Reggie Miller for being able to make MJ lose it like that lol

    Things to note:

These are pretty much Charles Barkley/Ron Artest highlights.

Shawn Bradley, in his entire career, was either getting beat up or dunked on.

Blake Griffin is a straight up b!tch.  From flopping to backing up on every face-off.

The refs earn their pay getting breaking up those fights. I wouldn’t want to get in between two gigantic angry people.

When Miller was on the Bulls. If that haymaker actually connected it could have ment retirement for Miller.

Every team that won a title in the 80’s was tough as hell.  Those Celtics, 6ers, Laker and Piston teams were about has competitive, aggressive and physical as it came.  It didn’t hurt that they didn’t like each other.

I miss how competitive it was back then ESPECIALLY amongst the game’s best players.

I was reading about Bird and I read he didn’t even talk to Magic his first few years because he wanted to beat him so bad, especially after the loss in the NCAA Championship Game. He didn’t like Magic and didn’t want to like him.

And after Magic lost to Bird in the Finals, he was actually depressed. Depressed that he lost, but even more so that he  lost to Bird.

I read that when Michael Jordan started training with Tim Grover, he made Grover keep his mouth shut and not tell ANYBODY what he was doing because he didn’t want any of the other athletes to know what he was doing… He wanted to keep that edge.

Nowadays we live in a NBA world where our two best perimeter players (LeBron and Durant) face each other in the Finals and then train together in the summer afterwards. Then LeBron tweets him for his birthday. Ugh… It makes my skin crawl.

That’s why I love what KG said about Ray the other day. "I no longer have his number."

True everything. I’ve hated Kobe and the Lakers all my life but they’ve earned my respect by competing like men

As a fan that loves competitive basketball i didnt like the idea of seeing Lebron go join Wade in Miami…

You want to see the best players go at it,not being buddy buddy.

Doc Rivers has told his players he wants them to Hate the Heat..So maybe when they play we’ll see some physical well fought battles…..

Wow. What a difference between the fights of the 80s and the fights now. Every one really hated Laimbeer too lol. I don’t know if any one else noticed this but most of these players are not very good at fighting. I’m kinda suprised since they are such great athletes. I guess that makes sense though. They are professional basketball players and not professional fighters

As a Kings fan, being at that Anthony Peeler playoff game and the Doug Christie pre-season game I can say that those are missed memories. The Christie uppercut on Rick Fox was epic.

Dennis Rodman and Ron Artest would have been such a dangerous duo.. not in the basketball sense haha refs fans and players would be at risk, the fans in the front row wouldn’t be safe. Imagine a Ref calls a foul: Rodman runs in for the low blow and artest finishes him with an elbow… Then Shaun Bradley gets dunked on by his own teammate javale McGee, and they beat him up…while javale runs around like a chicken with it’s head cut off.. Off course this is in the preseason tho…
