Good decisions from both of them. It was pretty obvious that Warren was going to declare after having that huge breakout year win ACC POY over Jabari Parker. I’ll probably keep LaQuinton Ross in my mock as a 2nd rounder but not sure if his stock would increase much by returning his senior year and now a days it seems to help your stock being an underclassmen so that probably was the right decision for him. Expect to see a lot more entrants within this next week.

Warren is without a doubt a first rounder. He already tore up the ACC, there’s nothing else to prove for him in the NCAA’s. Ross on the other hand, is a very up and down player. I think it would be best for him to come back and become more consistent, but if he’s cool being a second round pick, then go for it.

Warren is ready. Ross could benefit by coming back, he needs to work on his strength. His shot is pretty good so if he shows up during combine or during workouts he might find his name being called in the second round.

I honestly don’t see Ross having the foot speed to guard 3’s in the league or the strength to be a stretch 4. He simply won’t be able to guard his position so he might as well declare now.

As for Warren, I really do think IF he can improve his 3 point shot and become a 40% or close to it, shooter from 3 he can be a very good player. A 2nd best player on a very good team. But that is a rather big if.

I wouldn’t touch Ross before 50. I think redone1 hit the nail on the head. He’s a good leaper, but very slow laterally. He’s too skinny to play the 4, isn’t much more than a spot up shooter on the perimeter, and doesn’t fit the mold of a specialist, a project, or a good all around prospect. I see him having a rough time sticking in the league.

I think Warren will go somewhere in the 20-30 range, Ross late 2nd.

warren is a capable 3 pt shooter his main problem is shot selection and he fades away too often but when he shoots it right he make a high % he could easily fix those two things and be a very capable shooter he shot over 50% from deep as a freshman i could see high sneaking into the lottery
