JNixonParticipantThunder:
James Harden- Harden has a fan in me and you have to love the way he plays, but man. He struggled in the 3 quarters.. His ball-handling was bad (especially when he dribbled to his right), he missed open shots, and he played too tentative. He did do a solid job on D, as he usually does. He gets his hands on passes with his long arms and doesn’t take risks, but he still is a good defender. Down the stretch, he make the right plays to score. Got to the line, moves very well without the ball, and crashed the glass. Not his best showing, but he’s going to be alright. Too talented not to.
Eric Maynor- His game was weird. He looked for his own shot wayyyy more than he usually does. Surprisingly, didn’t run the offense very well and was probably the main reason OKC struggled early in the game. Did an outstanding job in the 2nd half running the team though, especially in the pick and roll.
B.J. Mullens- He shown some signs of improvement. Played more aggressive in the 2nd half than I’ve ever seen him play personally. He doesn’t have a go-to move, but his size and athleticism he can make space and finish if he holds on to the ball. His hands are shaky and he’s rather indecisive in his moves. Still shows inexperience, but he showed an activity level that was impressive.
Serge Ibaka- Needs to continue to polish his offense, but still is an unbelievable shot-blocker. He has a good jump hook, which is easily his go-to move (and only move). Very active around the rim and will throw his weight around. He got hurt, so lets hope it’s not serious.
Kyle Weaver- I always liked Weaver. He plays tough. He can’t really score alot, but he’s an underrated shooter (even though he’s only average). He still has the ball-handling and unselfishness to play some PG. Defended well again too. Also has gotten a bit bigger than he used to be.
D.J. White- He has an awesome mid-range game. Automatic from about 18 feet out, even when contested. He’s heavy-footed, but he bangs and carves out space to put up his shots. Fights on D, but he’s a little too slow and unathletic to be a great defender. Struggled badly with Luke Harangody. I think he can be a rotation player in the NBA, just not with OKC with their logjam at PF.
Boston:
Oliver Lafayette- Aggressive scorer who could actually make the Celtics roster. He’s pretty good. Can score a little and run the team pretty well. He didn’t get the win or play great down the stretch though, but he’s good.
Luke Harangody- Played a great game. Shot the ball well for the 1st 3 quarters, before getting too shot-happy and cold down the stretch. He did a pretty bad job on D, which is something he HAS to try and put more effort into. Really energetic and active, which shows on the glass and off the all offensively. He will be a rotation guy next year for Boston.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI loved Mullens. He seemed a little bulkier.
D.J. White could be one of those guys who need to move to get some PT.

stanford hoopsI like dj white. Don’t think he has to be very athletic to be a great defender though. Just become smarter and put more effort into it(same wit Luke). Because there are a couple good defenders in the NBA who aren’t that athletic or tall. I’m still iffy on mullins and his shakey hands lol

SteroidParticipantDJ will become smarter the more he plays. One can practice and watch film all he wants, but nothing can replace real game time.

jerb2011ParticipantI really don’t think DJ White fits OKC’s system he is not a runner so he can’t play at his best because he is tired after a few minutes. He would be best at a half court team like New York, New Jersey, Detroit, Toronto, and Washington (not saying he would fit with these teams, just these teams’ styles of play)
I was also impressed w/ Mullens’s improvement. 24pts 7rebs and 12-15 from the FT line. He still could work on footing and strength in the post. Although he was fouled almost everytime in the paint, there were a few plays were he could have gotten a few and-1s with added strength

SteroidParticipantI would like to see DJ in Detroit, the team who originally drafted him. I think Boston would be good fit for him also. Boston always seem like they need more big men, and I think he could fit in somewhere there.

Providencefriars15ParticipantI really think OKC should have given latavious williams and ryan reid some pt since they did draft them. They need to see what they can do. I was amazed by Mullens when i saw the box score, he was very quiet for most of the game. Celtics just did not have enough actual players to win.
