Let’s say for this post’s sake that Golden State wins this year’s NBA Finals…Steph Curry wins Finals MVP and LeBron now has 5 Finals losses on his permanent record…what if(we all know great ideas start with what if lol)

But what if the Clippers, the Cavs, and OKC all agree to a three-team deal. The deal would send CP3 and Blake Griffin to Cleveland, Kyrie and JJ Redick to OKC, and Russell Westbrook and K-Love to Lala land. KD would have incentive to stay in OKC, CP3 would be the distributor LeBron has never played with, and Russell Westbrook could be the monster he has always wanted to be.

Depending on CAP room and results of this year’s finals this will probably never happen, but give me your thoughts about what teams would do this and what teams wouldn’t…And again, I know this would never happen, but I really do believe all three teams would benefit from this…

Here are the teams’ starting line-ups/6th men(not counting free agency necessarily) if this was to happen:

    OKC
    G- Kyrie
    G- JJ
    F- KD
    F- Ibaka
    C- Steven Adams
    6th man – Kanter

    CAVS
    G- CP3
    G- JR Smith
    F- LeBron
    F- Blake Griffin
    C- Thompson
    6th man – Frye

    CLIPS
G- Rivers(or some other FA, maybe Mike Conley)
    G- Westbrook
    F- Jeff Green
    F- K-Love
    C- DeAndre Jordan
    6th man – Crawford

I edited it about a minute or two after! My bad! For some reason the Word formatting and the Forum formatting got crossed/messed up!

So Cavs management wouldn’t essentially consider a K-Love + Kyrie for CP3 + Blake Griffin swap? They would at least consider it? Wouldn’t they?

Durant is getting 2 defensive liability’s in the backcourt. A ball dominate PG who does not compliment his skill set as much as his current PG in Westbrook.

So my rebuttal to that statement is that Westbrook in himself is ball-dominant…these guys have had countless years to put it all together, but they haven’t won a championship and they have been playing 8+ years. It could be time for a change and I think a swap essentially giving up Westbrook for a healthy Kyrie + a much improved JJ + keeping KD in an OKC uniform would not be a “Horrible” trade.
