royk927ParticipantMarshon brooks, Jordan hamilton and Jermy Tyler.
Charlotte needs scorers and i think that these are two of the best (Brooks and Hamilton). Tyler would be a guy who could play some center and PF (i know they have a glut of PF) Im not that high on any of the bigs that r available besides KAnter (and i think the cost to trade up to get him would be very steep not to mention we dont have as many trade assests that people would actually want.

capecodderParticipantGiving up on Gerald Henderson?

omphalosParticipantHenderson isn’t a starter in my opinion; he’s a great bench/role player, but I think they should go after Burks; he has better potential as a star than any of the players mentioned (maybe barring Tyler), and that is what this franchise really needs; a friendly face to sell to the fans.
With their second pick I want them going after Josh Selby; competitive guy should get along well with Mike and keep pushing to improve, would be a great fit with Burks, who has shown the ability to make plays, leaving Selby able to be a scorer; similar to when the Thunder close out games with Harden as primary playmaker and Westbrook as a scorer.

gatorheelsParticipantBulls & Bobcats are my 2 favorite teams. I’m a huge Tyrus Thomas fan. I think this draft sets up well for Charlotte. I just like where they are picking. Here is who I am hoping they select with picks 9, 19, & 39. I’ll list some potential candidates that I like at each pick in order of my preference.
9th- Jonas Valanciunas, Bismack Biyombo, Tobias Harris, Klay Thompson, Jimmer Fredette. I’m with the 30-40% of nba scouts that think Valanciunas is the best international prospect in the draft. I think he could be the starting Center for Charlotte for many many years. In about 4 years this kid is going to be special. He has ideal size, long arms, & moves very very well for a Center. Can shoot & this will continue to improve. Solid defender. Already has a pretty good overall game at the age of only 19. Biymbo’s defense & motor would be welcomed on this team. Even if he never develops offensively he would still be worth the 9th pick in this weak draft. Biymbo & Tyrus playing together would be fun to watch. Shot blocking party. With Klay & Jimmer its simple… I like pure shooters. This team needs shooting badly.
19th- Tobias Harris, Kenneth Faried, Darius Morris. Tobias is my 1st choice here. At only 18 years old with a very mature mindset his potential is huge. The guy has a jumper, I’m telling you. I’ve seen him hit nba 3 pointers with ease in warmups before games. He makes it look effortless. This will only get better too! Very versatile player, a team player. I think he develops into a SF eventually. Will play some stretch 4 too. Has all-star potential. I know I said PF wasn’t a need but I wouldn’t pass on Faried here. I’m a huge fan of his game. He leaves his heart on the court. Ruthless rebounder & relentless defender. He will be in the league for many years. Darius Morris would be a solid pick here. He would offer huge size for out PG position. Plus he is a very very good passer. *If somehow Valanciunas or Biyombo slip this far than Charlotte should select one of them no doubt. That would be a steal, I’d love to see it.
39th- Scotty Hopson, Chandler Parsons, Charles Jenkins, Shelvin Mack, Andrew Goudelock. I still like Hopson’s upside. Too much potential to pass up. Might as well take a risk with a 2nd round pick & swing for the fences. Parsons is a really good passer for a versatile big man. Plus his personality would blend in well with the team. He knows how to help a team win. Charles Jenkins is continues to rise up draft boards. He may not be available here but oh well. He is a smart player who recognizes mismatches. Very crafty player that can find the open man & knows how to get his shot off anytime anyplace. Have you seen his stats from college last season? They are IMPRESSIVE. Shelvin Mack is being overlooked. You never hear much about him throughout all these pre-draft workouts. He showed me a lot in the NCAA tourney. The guy can flat out play. He knows how to win. He plays defense, he can play PG. Not to mention he is great under pressure. Goudelock would just be a sniper coming off the bench. This team could use a pure shooter. Goudelock is arguably the best shooter in the draft.
I like Tyrus as a starting PF so that position shouldn’t be addressed in this draft. Boris Diaw needs to go! All other positions are up for grabs though. I don’t like Gerald Henderson at all. Kwame Brown is not the answer at Center haha. I like DJ Augustin but the team could eventually use an upgrade at PG.
Come draft night I’ll revisit this post to see if my Bobcat’s draft wishes came true.
