llperezi watched them a couple times last year but havent seen much this year other then a few minutes while i was switching channels. They seem to be a good athletic team that can defend and rebound. But im just not sure about top 10. THey have played nobody significant this year.
this is their non conference schedule:
Long beach state, gonzaga, Green Bay Phoenix, IUPUI, Miami of ohio, a team with the initials SCZ that does not have a profile on espn, saint marry’s, wichita state, california, and san diego.
The biggest wins on that list are saint marrys and wichita state.
For the reminader of their non conference schedule, they play: Cal Poly, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, IUPUI again and another team with no espn profile with the intitials OCC.
There are plenty of teams that would be undefeated if they played that schedule. So wahat are your thoughts?

joecheck88Participantmy thoughts are good for them. this isnt college football where it will matter too much. they have a playoff bracket and these things tend to even out in march. they have been good for the past few years and them being top 10 isnt hurting anybody else. props to them for winning the games they should.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantPersonally, I don’t really have a problem with it. Cake schedule, yes, but they still look very good on paper: they’ve got the the do-it-all, go-to option in Kawhi Leonard (16.3/9.9/1.8 steals), a good shot blocking big man in Malcolm Thomas and two other well-rounded scorers (White and Gay). They’re one of the most efficient offenses in the nation (7th in fg%) and they’re playing with confidence. Two games apiece against BYU and UNLV later will show what they’re made of.

llperezmy problem with it is it penalizes teams who play tough schedules and lose. I think everyone should play 3-4 tough non conference games. I guess they figured gonzaga would be that team for them as they were ranked 12th to start the year, but gonzaga is 4-5 and i have watched them play and they dont look too good. Even in college football, teams like boise try to play non conference games against tough teams.

JNixonParticipantSan Diego State isn’t a top 10 team, but they are top 15. I said it before the season after watching them against Tennessee in the tourny last year, they are more athletic than about 95% of the teams in college basketball, high or mid-major. Kawhi Leonard is a prospect and they have a bunch of size as well as air-tight D. They are a good team. I see them as a 2-and-out or Sweet 16 team this year. This is a dangerous team.
