-would you do #2 for K Love? (apparently Kahn is very high on Rubio)

-Mark Jackson for coach? (i heard he’s the leading candidate. I think that’s a fine move.)

I think this guy is good so far. He is not afraid to pull the trigger on a block-buster trade and in my opinion, with the whole Amare for Jefferson and #6 pick, I think he was just bluffing and basically telling the whole NBA that if an offer is good enough, he will trade any player on our roster. With the K Love for #2 pick, I think that it is a good thing even though it can’t happen because he can’t be traded back to Memphis until a year after he gets traded away.

i like how he is busy and working on a ton of trades i think we should draft curry and move up to grab clark and trade Brewer because he stinks and has done nothin for us

Rubio will not go to Minny.

I think Khan is very balsy. He is not afraid to make some moves. If I was a MINNY fan, im kinda excited.

I love it…. the organization def needed a shakeup especially after trading away the face of the franchise. ( im glad Garnett got his title,but pissed he didnt get it with Minnesota) Kevin McHale was horrible as a GM, but actually wasn’t to bad of a coach. I like how Kahn seems to have a plan laid out and is actually attempting add pieces the fit together rather then falling in Love (kevin) with players regardless of what the teams needs are. I really like Kevin Love but, he is not a great fit with the Wolves centerpiece Big Al. They offer similar skills and neither are a true center, so playing them together hurts the team more than it helps imo. So I wouldn’t be opposed to trading Kevin Love for #2, that being said, if Kahn is attempting to move up to select Rubio it leaves a gaping hole at Center. Personally if he decided to move into the #2 slot I’d prefer Thabeet. Thabeet would be a great compliment to Big Al, allowing Jefferson to swing back to PF and dominate offensively, while Thabeet does what he does best… alter shots on defense. Also, the strength of this draft in depth at PG so with selections at 18 and 28 help could be found… and I hate to say it but the West is too good. The Wolves will be in the lottery again next year, where the can have another shot at drafting an elite PG propect in John Wall, opposed to finding help at C. On the flip side of the coin if the Wolves to move up and pick Rubio, and he pans out, Kahn will look like a genious. Regardless if Rubio is the pick, selections 18 or 28 must be moved, in an attempt to get a veteran center ( Chris Kaman possibly). Im not sure if moving up to select Rubio is a smoke screen, but if it isnt, Mark Jackson would be an excellent mentor to show Ricky how to play the NBA game. The other Candidates for the job are Sam Mitchell at Mike Fratello who are also great basketball minds. Look for Kahn to attempt to move up and if he can’t look for him to wheel and deal for Veteran players. There are so many moving parts he can work with… 3 draft selections this year in the first rnd…. two next year…. half of the roster is expiring contracts. The one thing for sure is by free agency 2010, this team will look nothing like it does now.

KLove was traded on draft night last year, so shouldn’t he be eligible to be traded again on draft night this year? Either way, i’m sure if the deal has been agreed upon, the grizz could take the player the wolves want and then make the trade when the year has expired.

good observation about mark jackson and his influence on a PG draftee… I read somewhere recently where people were questioning Evans playing PG in the NBA because 6’5 6’6 guys rarely end up playing the position. The last GOOD 6’5 PG I can remember is… MARK JACKSON! imagine if you combined Evans’ athleticism with Jackson’s mind… sounds good to me. If they can make Tyreke an effective PG, I’m all for it.

Also, what about Foye as a scoring 6th man? Or Tyreke for that matter? I don’t think they would complement each other well for an entire game, but having one of them on the court at all times would guarantee a legit scorer for 48 min. and at the end of games they could both go out there for the crunch time buckets, giving us two options.

Could be a star at PG.. He has the length to be a lock down defender from day one… and the ability to attack the rim at will. With the possibility of Mark Jackson teaching him how to manage the game he could be special, but that also depends how long it takes to develop a consistant jumpshot. I like your idea… Randy Foye could be a sixth man swing guard ala Ben Gordon. I still think Kahn will try and bring in some veteran help to either position…. it was rumored they tryed to get Kirk Kinrich last year… if its true maybe they will revisit that possibility especially since he can guard multiple positions… btw he is 6’5 and not to shabby himself lol

I like Foye as a 6th man. Mark Jackson would be a fine choice for a coach. If I were the TWolves I would just stay put at #6 and take the best player available. No need to trade up for Thabeet. There are tons of good big men in next years draft. I know Love & Jefferson are similar in a lot of way but I really wouldn’t want to trade either of them. No need to get crazy. Be patient and continue to build a young talented team and the wins will eventually come. I also think Brewer can turn it around. Give him time to develop and completely heal. His defense is solid and he can shoot. He at least is a very solid bench player. McHale was terrible, getting rid of him was a great move.
