Ghost01ParticipantPer Adrian Wojnarowski
Sounds like its Patterson, Aldrich, and Douglas going back the other way.
Interesting trade, I like it for the Rockets though. TRob hasn’t gotten a great shot in SAC…this will give him solid minutes on a playoff contender.

sheepish_moParticipantLol Kings really. They screwed up by not taking Lilliard or Drummond now they compound their mistake by trading a top 5 pick for a bunch of role guys. Guess there’s a reason why terrible franchises stay terrible.

Chilbert arenasParticipantPatterson and Cousins reunited from their Wildcat days

Ghost01ParticipantYeah I’m not sure why you do this trade if your the Kings. Patterson has become solid, but he’s still not that great to give up a top 5 pick for.

Professor RozayParticipantI have no idea what the Kings are doing. Great deal for the Rockets… They trade lamb early and halfway through the season they get T-Rob. They seem like they know what they are doing in Houston. This guy plays hard on every play and they are going to love this guy in Houston.

For_Never_EverParticipantI don’t get why the Kings did this trade ?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 3:58pm #749463

Ghost01ParticipantThe Rockets essentially gave up:
Kyle Lowry
Kevin Martin
Jeremy Lamb
Patrick Patterson
Tony Douglasfor James Harden and Thomas Robinson.
Nicely done, Darryl.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI’m a big T-Rob fan due to the wild weekend I had while staying in Lawrence when my friend was playing for KU. T-Rob took care of us and it was wild. Hope the change of scenery helps. He was a on the fast track to nowhere in Sactown.

For_Never_EverParticipantJeremy Lamb from OKC is in this trade too ?

For_Never_EverParticipantOh, never mind. Lol

Chilbert arenasParticipantCole Aldrich’s has not turned into the player I thought he would, I didn’t have high hopes but for being the 11th pick I thought he would have produced a little more.

TyroberParticipantGlad I am not a Kings fan.

220ParticipantI wonder if twins were ever teammates before in the NBA. I’m surprised the Rockets dealt him for a second round pick. They must’ve really wanted to open up some minutes for the young guys.
0- Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 4:45pm #749492
geothermalParticipantkansas days! they were team mates
0- Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 4:56pm #749498

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think he means “In the past, were there ever twins that were teammates in the NBA?”

BigChamp12ParticipantYeah only one other set. Dick and Tom Van Arsdale were teammates on the Suns in 1976-77

BasketBalAllanParticipant…
I can not wait until this whole front office is overhauled…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 4:36pm #749488

220ParticipantMaybe the Kings did it in hopes that Patrick Patterson can help keep DeMarcus Cousins from going crazy.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 5:08pm #749507
Ahkasi ClayParticipantTiming of this trade is interesting. And the salary implication point towards a additional move.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 5:26pm #749510

KayjayParticipantI’m speechless, I think this was one last stick to the franchise as the worst moves its ever made. As a Kings fan I am saddened that Robinson is gone.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 5:46pm #749520

DunksNJordans23ParticipantKings should trade Tyreke Evans for Eric Bledsoe so they can try to remake that UK team lol
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 5:47pm #749521
jrrider_34ParticipantOnce again, Houston proves its mastery at stockpiling midlevel assets and trading them up for fewer, more valuable pieces. The use of Patterson as a trade chip was cemented by the drafting of Terrence Jones and Royce White last year, and while I don’t really understand the trade of Morris for only a second rounder (I feel like he could have been worth at least a conditional late first from someone), the acquisition of Thomas Robinson is quite impressive. Sacramento would have laughed this deal down this past June.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/20/2013 - 5:59pm #749539

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHell yeah! I love Patteron, he’s a good player but I think T-Rob’s ceiling is much higher!
Only beef with Patterson is dude does NOT rebound as well as I thought he would.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI just looked up the profile of Robinson (right here @ nbadraft.net)
His NBA Comparison: Derrick Williams/Patrick Patterson
