Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantJust got his buyout from the Nuggets, where will he land?
I still have faith in the guy, I have to start by saying I never once thought he would be a superstar, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel that he could do what Kenneth Faried does. I still belive he can. He’s an athletic ball of energy, he doesn’t mind hustling and doing the dirty work. Only plays 14 mpg for his career averaging 4 points and 4 rebounds. He averages 12 and 12 for his per 36 minutes.
I think a good team he could go to is the Pacers, I always thought he could be an athletic David West, that was my comparison on this site before. Size, emotion, and at one point he was working on his mid range jumper, due to not playing I don’t know if he can shoot it or not.
Other teams I think would be good for him, if he wants to win are the Clippers and Grizzlies. He’d fit right in with lob city, and he has that Memphis toughness. I personally want him to go to a team where he’d be able to play though. The Knicks, 76ers, the Lakers, somewhere where he can actually play, work on his game and show and prove.
Where do you guys think he’ll land?
Also what do y’all think about Quincy Miller signing with the Pistons, who now need wing help, he should get to play there.

4th quarterParticipantHe needs to go back to Kansas to work on his game.i think he had a year left.. So why not return to school and learn from coach self.. He could be a top pick in 2016.because having that nba experience will allow him to dominate college kids!!!

NCarmean18ParticipantWell, if you declare for the NBA Draft, you cannot return to college, especially after playing in the NBA. The NBA is the best league in the world – do you really think that they would allow somebody with 3 years of NBA experience go back and play for a college squad? Come on, now. And top pick of 2016? Really? You cannot get drafted to the NBA twice. I’m having trouble figuring out whether your comment was just sarcasm, or if you really do not understand the way college and professional basketball works. Either way, your response literally blew my mind lol.

ChewyParticipantwas not drated and did not sign with an agent, therefore retaining his amature status and was able to return.
T-Rob was drafted= end of amatuer status.
Now what?

TimberTrollParticipantIf Bosh is out then maybe the Heat would take a look. They’re also rumored to be looking at Andray Blatche.

ChoppyParticipantI was intrigued with Miller coming into his draft. I thought he’d go much higher but dropped to 38 if I remember correctly. He’s tearing it up at Reno apparently, 25ppg at 50% shooting 35% from 3. He should get a shot with the pistons. His only competition is Prince and Butler.

JordoParticipantWherever he goes i want him to get minutes. He was labeled NBA ready during the draft but hasn’t been in a situation to really develop. In his 3rd year he’s just labeled as a hustle role player when a lot of people were high on him coming out.

CavFanPRParticipantMiami makes too much sense now that Chris Bosh is hurt. This might be his last opportunity to show that he belongs. Will never live up to his draft position but at the very least he could still be a decent role players for many years to come.

King CaluchaParticipantIt’s sad to say this, but I think he’ll go nowhere. He doesn’t have no particular skill at a high level, so he’s just a big body who can commit 6 fouls and move on. I can name a lot of free agents who can do that.

BiggysmallsParticipantWolves could pick him up and let him Bennett and Payne battle for minutes. Make it like the scene in batman where the Joker throws the pool stick between three guys and lets em duke it out for the spot on the team. Have KG throw the pool stick out and let them all fight to the death for the minutes. My money would be on Payne…could be because his name is Payne.

sitlbitoParticipantUndersized, can’t shoot, not even a FT,not very good intangibles,he plays hard but other than that is not good at rotating, not a good defender…. At some point if 4 teams give up on you, there’s a reason. It happens that teams make mistakes, but 4 teams in 2 and a half year… I saw though that guys who had the hype and played in good schools, are often seen as “untapped potential” or however you call it. I’ve seen multiple threads also about Jeremy Lamb,Quincy Miller,Austin Rivers for example saying “he’s a stud he should have another chance”. Problem is first you have to deserve your chance, secondly they had their chance, just couldn’t take it.

JoeWolf1He has had a dissappointing first two and a half seasons, but due to some injuries he had a taste of the starting lineup this year, and he actually played pretty well.
In 4 starts he averaged 9 ppg 8.8 rpg 1.3 bpg and 1 spg on 54% shooting in only 22.5 mpg and the Blazers went 3-1 with T-Rob as a starter. Including a 15 poing 16 rebound performance in a win over the Bucks
I think his best bet would be to catch on for a poor team, where he could play more minutes and showcase what he can do well, and that is rebound and play hard. Indiana could use some more help at PF, Detroit could be a nice fit. They recently dealt Jerebko, and really only have Anthony Tolliver and Joel Anthony coming off the bench as front court releif. Thomas Robinson always seemed like a guy who needed to be a Piston anyways.

King CaluchaParticipantAgreed. His best bet would be getting a low-value contract on a horrible team like the 76ers and put stats there.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI wouldn’t mind if the Lakers picked him up for the rest of the season, but they already have a lot of young pfs that need to play so he might not get many minutes. Great energy and athleticism but just doesn’t have a very good feel for the game right now.

HitsterParticipantThomas has been a big disappointment in the NBA considering he was seen as a fairly safe choice, lower upside but lower downside. He was seen as the sort of guy who might not have a standout career but could be a good complimentary big on a decent team and who would always have a fair few takers and might easily have a decent decade plus career.
At least he got some decent rookie salary paydays and still only being 23 could look to rebuild his reputation in the D-League, overseas or on a tanking team. He will possibly get a few training camp invites and might try to get on a summer league team.
