Now that we know who is in the tourney, who do you think could improve their stock the most such as Tyrus, Flynn, and to some extent, Curry did in years past?

I look at some projected 2nd rounders and there seems to be quite a few.

    Collins, Vasquez, Reynolds, etc.

    Any thoughts?

I bet my left nut that Sherron Collins will be a first round pick lol… But seriously tho he is such a winner and is so clutch and is the best player and the number 1 ranked team. I think he will go late 20’s a la Aaron Brooks.. Everyone had AB going 2nd round and he snuck into the 1st round. Kansas is poised for a final 4 run and he will be the the main cog

Baylor is going to the final 4. Im not a Baylor fan or anything, but the team is really impressive to me. They remind of of 2006 LSU with Tyrus Thomas.

I dont like Sherron Collins game at all..But my opinion doesnt matter…He reminds me of Kyle Lowery..An undersized guard that cant shoot..And his lack of height will hurt him on the defensive end..His tenacity will be what keeps him in the league..And Papa i agree with u that someone will take him in the 1st round…But a smart GM wouldn’t..There are reasons why guys stick around for their entire 4 years..

I think Collins might be able to make a jump from the 2nd round to late first rounder since this yrs list of PG is slim to none. I belive he might be able to do what Lawson is doing for the Nuggest at Best but that is about it. I like the way Reynolds is playing but he’ll be 2nd round pick possible impoving to the top of the 2nd round. He’ll be a very good bench player for any team that picks him up due to his versatillity to play both guard position, reminds me or Randy Foyle with more PG skills. Too bad Miss St wasn’t in the tournament because I think Jarvis Varnado would of been able to do a lot of damage and really improved his stock to be a legit late first rounder. Guys developing offensive move and is already a monster on the deffensive end.

I understand why people place such a high value on height in the NBA, but I’ve been watching for years as the Aaron Brooks’, Kyle Lowry’s, and Earl Boykins’, and so on, have survived longer in the league than guys who were 6’4″ 200lb pgs. And the same thing goes for any player at any position. If you know how to play and get the job done, why do you need to be a certain height? I’ve seen way more 7-foot busts than big tymers… Kwame Brown, Tyson Chandler, Diop, O’Bryant, Sene, etc., etc., etc…. so many wasted lottery picks when a proven player was passed for “potential”… what the hell is this potential people keep talking about… “he doesn’t have any sort of developed game, but is athletic and tall and long… he’s gonna be great!” Give me a guy who knows to play the game the right way, I don’t care if you possibly could be a good player, I care if you are…
with that said, Sherron Collins will play his way into the mid-1st, Whiteside will slip (ala DeAndre Jordan) because he can’t guard a quality big man, even if they’re 6’8″…

Whiteside is no O’Bryant. Why do people do all these negative comparison then turn bandwagon when that guy is a star. Whiteside is a defensive player and his defense is NBA ready and O’Bryant was a offensive player with low basketball IQ. Whiteside when not have trouble learning to adjust to NBA defense and he will have little responsibility on Offense until he grows in that area the only problem he has not is gaining weight and he looks like he can get bigger without losing too much in the athleticism depart. he can be Howard on defense.

Whiteside can block shots. Other than that he is a terrible defender.

He could improve his stock. He is a big time clutch shooter. Not sure how his game translates to the NBA, though.
