This is a very random thought, but this seems like one of the more athletic draft classes I’ve seen in a while. Between Aaron Gordon, Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid and Zach Lavine, there’s more than enough other worldly athleticism for one draft class. Then you include guys who are just a notch lower like Exum, Early, Randle and Smart, and it seems like a draft class with a TON of athletes at the top of the boards.

This is why this draft class has been rated so highly.  In the minds of the majority, Athleticism = Potential

I don’t entirely agree with this, but that’s what the draft has been about for a long time.

Lavine is starting to scare me. Most explosive guy in this draft. Whos gonna get posterized first?

Definitely one of the most athletic. Wiggins, Gordon, and Lavine all really stick out as the most athletic to me, but I’ve been impressed with how athletic the other top bigs are too. Embiid, Randle, and Vonleh are all very athletic for their size. You have some great wing athletes mid-late 1st like Early and GRIII. Even some of the players who aren’t known for their athleticism like Jabari, Stauskas, and Harris are still pretty dang athletic.

Jerami Grant is one superb athlete i must say and in the 2nd round you have guys like KJ Mcdaniels, Cory Jefferson, Semaj Christon, Thanasis Antekoumpo n Nick Johnson who are supremely gifted athletes and great defensive potential. This an awesome group of physical specimens

Yes very athletic but none are really go hard bang on you’re head athletic.  All of their heights are dunking on no one. Might be due to none of them having the handle to get in the lane to do so. Wiggins tends to try to lay up the ball when he’s close to the basket on a drive and many times he blows it, Gordon just doesn’t have the handles to blow by people and Lavine seems to need a running start ala full court or just can’t get past people consistently

Very good analysis, haven’t seen too many posterisor dunks from the class, well at least in CBB. A lot if freak Athletes. I have seen Gordon, grant, wiggins, Jabari, smart, and Lavine catch some serious air though. Honestly it could be a function of the CBB game being more compact and less wide open than the nba. I expect to see nice athletic feats from a lot if these guys in their rookie years let alone their entire careers

Yep, when you read each players scouting report you’ll notice handles is each players weakness(except smart but you don’t see too many point guards dunking on people) but even if you don’t have handles you have to have that mindset and power to go throw body contact.
