valentineIts just really hard to take this site too seriously when I look at their mock draft/big board. I’m as big a fan of Chasson Randle as anyone. I went to high school with him. But he’s not going to be drafted ahead of guys like Dakari Johnson, Robert Upshaw, or Tyrone Wallace unless someone pulls a Josh Huestis type deal. Again, he’s my favorite college player right now, but Chad Ford doesn’t even rank him in his top 200 and personally I am crossing my fingers that he gets drafted at all. Am I missing something?

negguaryParticipantyeah this site has become less reliable. I used to come here for all basketball related things, but it seems like they don’t take the time to put the effort in anymore. I think if it wasn’t for the forum this site would be dead unfortunately.

Ghost01ParticipantThey almost always have anomolies in their mock drafts that make no sense. Whether it was Alec Burks or Hassan Whiteside in the top 3, or just other random stuff, the mocks themselves are always goofy especially as the season is going on.
Usually towards the actual draft it gets closer to accurate, but I have also noticed if someone has a huge game he will suddenly be WAY higher on this site than anywhere else.

gopack10ParticipantThe Big Board is like a moving target. As players trend up they move up on the list and vice versa. And as has been explained for years, the mocks aren’t actually team specific until after the college and NBA seasons. It is just a reflection of the Big Board in a sense.
And as valued users on this site, how has the site become less reliable. What could we do to make it more reliable and have you coming back for more than just the forums?
We are open to ideas. As with any business, the customer is always right and you are the customer. Please feel free to email me or respond to this post with ideas of things that you want to see.

skip-bayless-is-my-heroMy point is if its a big board, how can a 6 foot 2 senior combo guard be ahead of a sophmore 7 footer who leads the nation in blocks? I was always under the impression that a real scout did these updates but if that’s not the case then I would rather wait and see what chad ford or someone like that has to say so I don’t add any ameteur information to my knowledge, I could get that from any site. I have no idea who makes the big board/mock draft but my suggestion would be to get a group of people to make it so there isn’t such obvious mistakes.
