LeBron opts out.

LeBron wants the Heat to improve the team.

Heat can’t really improve team because no one is committing to a pay cut without LeBron on the roster.

LeBron thinks about 1-2 year deal, which then would put Bosh in a bind.

Bosh gets offer from Houston.

"Sources" suddenly believe LeBron is going to the Cavs (which would at least make all of this semi-logical).

LeBron has met with Riley, Wade, etc, doesn’t committ to anything.

LeBron doesn’t meet with anyone else, but his agent has talked a lot with Cavs.

 

And now, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, and waiting.

Here is the big thing I don’t understand. IF LeBron wanted to stay in Miami, why has he been doing this? As I said, he hurt the team’s chance in FA (And if he legitimately wanted to see upgrades happen, they didn’t), he has put Bosh in this awkward position of having to weigh a max deal vs the potential to play with LeBron still, even if LeBron might only sign for 1-2 years. And finally, he has let the city of Cleveland believe he was returning. Meaningless to many, but to a guy this big, who received so much hate for what he did in 2010, his persistence to let this story play out baffles me.

And if he is going back to Cleveland? What the hell is the hold up? At least it makes sense, but enough with the suspense already…

 I honestly believe LeBron is trying to make Bosh takes Houstons offer so Melo can join him in south beach. I could easily be 100% wrong and maybe he is seeing if the Cavs can pull off a Kevin Love trade… IDK. I just don’t understand if he was going to go to the Cavs why he wouldn’t have done it already and if he wanted to continue the big 3 of himself, Wade, and Bosh then he would have done it already as well. I know this decision is super crucial to his legacy and his chance at rings for the next couple of years and it should be well thought out, but he has had time to think and it is time for a decision.

 Lebron wouldn’t want Bosh over Melo. Bosh was their center. Melo can’t play center. WHo do you think plays center for them if Bosh leaves? He’s arguably their second most important player. Can’t really imagine Melo attacking all those pick n rolls. Can’t imagine MElo being guarded by centers, spreading the floor. Adding Melo would do more harm than good. There’s this thing called defense, that the HEat wouldn’t have without any kind of center
