llperezyeah, i respect aran’s opinion, but that is a major head scratcher of an comparison. He even questions hields ball handling saying he needs to improve in that area where as harden is one of the best ball handling sg’s in the game to the point where he often over dribbles and stops the ball. Hield is more of an off the ball come off screens type like ray allen. I dont know see that comparison at all.
Aran also says jakob poeltl "may not be the most fluid player" then a few sentences later says "he’s great at finshing plays in the open floor as hes very fluid"…Kind of odd to use fluid as both a strength and negagtive in the same paragraph.

zcnumerounoParticipantYeah, defensively they are similar, but they are entirely different players on the offensive end. Some of the other player comparisons are ridiculous too.
Also, how are Demetrius Jackson, Wade Baldwin and Tyler Ulis in the second round? Even Malcolm Brogdon is likely a late first round pick.
I’m glad I come here for the forum and not for the “expert” mock drafts.

OhCanada-ParticipantI think people don’t understand how good Harden is. Whether or not he’s a ballhog and inefficient he is historically one of the most productive offensive players in NBA history.

Sewok15ParticipantThis site loves James Harden player comparisons for some reason. Last year it was Justise Winslow who plays nothing like Harden…especially defensively. They are both left handed and excel attacking the basket but that is where the similarities end.
Buddy Hield plays more like Bradley Beal or on the safer side J.J. Reddick.

mamadouParticipantYes they are 6’5 shooting guards, that’s about it.
Hield is fucking TO prone too, the main problem as a star senior, he must have a third of harden’s usage and he’s not making a third of his assists.

knicks4lyfe88ParticipantIm not really a stickler for NBA comparisons. Every player is different as well as every system. Are there really any 2 players in the league who play alike?

TRC1991ParticipantI think that physically, the way they move and their mannerisms, Josh Hart resembles Danny Green very much so

Mr. 19134ParticipantHardens a way better playmaker and is much stronger but scoring wise they get their points in similar fashion. Hield despite not having an advanced handle got most of his offense off the dribble and also finished at the rim at an elite rate. He also played alot of PnR which will translate as will his underrated athleticism and quickness. And hes way more efficient

theballerwayParticipantI noticed they added Lamar Odom to the Ben Simmons comp. He did end up looking at lot like Odom without the jumpshot of course.

RUDEBOY_Participantyeah, i dont see the harden comparision at all..as mentioned above harden is a better ball handling and playmaker..but they both have the ability to draw fouls and have over 80% ft percentage.
