    i think my team did good job even though we were without two of our top players. also fitz had a bad game. but im looking to move on and play lion pack. i feel bad i have to win against teams like that but hey a win is a win. anyway congrats to pj all day. 6-1 man. keep up the good work.

    The former Knick Landry Fields provides a more mature small forward in place of James Johnson. Rookie Terrence Ross should become a reasonable offensive replacement for Leandro Barbosa and surpass Barbosa at the defensive end of the floor and rookie Jonas Valanciunas may be the Raptors’ best center from day one.

    Despite Colangelo and Casey insisting that Calderon could start for the Raptors this season if that is best for the team, this possibility just doesn’t mesh with Colangelo repeatedly calling Calderon his best trade asset over and over again. The Raptors acquired Lowry to start as part of the team’s ongoing culture change and Calderon will be a great second-unit guy for as long as he remains in Toronto.

    The only thing that Beal is still adjusting to is the increased physicality of the NBA game. That is something NBA veterans will test him on early and often as the season progresses. In Toronto, the 30-year-old journeyman wing player, Alan Anderson, got into Beal’s space in the first half and temporarily got Beal off his game.
