Adam BronzeParticipantMavs win as Vince Carter knocks down the three at the buzzer to take a 2-1 lead over the 1st seeded Spurs and Indiana barely survives falling 1-3 against the 8 seeded Hawks. Even without these two 1st vs. 8th match-ups (which are supposed to be the least interesting) we have OKC-Memphis, L.A.-Golden State, Chicago-Washington, Toronto-Brooklyn and Portland-Houston. NOT A SINGLE ONE of these series is predictable. When was the last time we had such an exciting start of the playoffs?

B-ball fanParticipantThese seem like the best playoffs in a while. The Miami-Charlotte and LAC-GS series are the most predictable, but the Bobcats and Warriors have still been very competitive. And the Blazers are probably the next biggest favorite in their series, but all three of their games were toss-ups that could have been won by either team. Nene’s suspension just made the Wizards-Bulls series really interesting. And all the other series could go either way.
That Mavs-Spurs game had such a great ending. Monta Ellis was super clutch, so were Manu and Kawhi, while Dirk and Duncan actually struggled down the stretch. And huge shot by Vince Carter.

Rip255I can’t believe I missed Vinsanity’s game-winner. But this is the best first round I can recall in a long time, even at this early stage.
I’m guilty of writing off the Mav’s chances in this series because I thought the Spurs looked unbeatable, but veterans are worth their weight in gold in playoffs and the Mavs have plenty.
I’m glad for Vince Carter as well. For all his highlights, he was never known as a clutch player. This shot will add to his legacy.
I’ve been loving the Bulls v Wizards and Memphis v OKC series. Not to mention LaMarcus Aldridge’s unbelievable mid-range game.
