OhCanada-ParticipantThis is to user-TheGuy
First of all I’m not calling you out. I found myself agreeing with most of your replies within the forum and giving you +1 here and there so I went to check your mockdraft. I found your mockdraft very original and I can tell you’ve made your own opinions and evaluated the draft based on your beliefs not just prospect status quo. You have a lot of contreversal rankings and I was just wondering if you could give me a brief summary on some of the selections. Like Richardson at 9 to Toronto. Zimmerman at 12. Brown at 11. Ulis late lotto. Dunn late lotto.
I like it because come draft day a lot will change but I don’t necessarily agree with it. Knowing your a rational user I’d like to see why you think these guys specifically will rise/drop. Maybe a summary on your mock draft.

TheGuyParticipantWell thanks for taking an interest and valuing my opinion. I never really would expect anyone to think much of my opinion, I’m just another guy on the internet. The mock draft I have currently mostly reflects as a big board. I haven’t put any work in the 2nd round.
So for Richardson, I was really impressed by how he played in the postseason in the ACC and NCAA tourneys. He has protoypical SG size and explossiveness. He showed good shooting touch in the tourney. He’s only a freshman, so he has a lot of upside. He just looks like a pro and has shown the skills I think to develop into a good player.
Brown is another guy who has the measurements of a pro however, I never loved his game when I watched him. Poor shooter and not a great feel for the game, he can get way out of control at times. While he fits the prototype a wing, I’m concerned about his actual basketball abilties. But he has the upside.
Zimmerman is a player I’m very intrigued by but not easy to really get a feel on. I’m a sucker for skilled bigmen with good basketball IQ. He has some concerns, not a fluid athlete and seemed soft, so I could see him be a flop, but of the crop of young bigs like Skal, Chriss, Davis, ect he’s the one that catches my eye the most.
Ullis I think will a solid pro, maybe best suited for a backup, but this draft isn’t the best and to get a quality backup PG is good value in the top 20 is pretty solid.
Dunn is a guy I’m just not crazy about. Not much of a shooter, has had turnover issues, not very effectice off the ball. He’s already fairly old and I just don’t see a lot of upside. I’m not sure how good he is. However, he does have good size, pretty good athelete, good defensive skills and playmaking skills so i can’t pretend the guy can’t play at all.
So it’s generally just how I view it. I appreciate the fact that while you may not agree with the specifics you agree with the open mindedness of the draft and evaluting prospects. It’s a very subjective and fluid thing, and nobody actually knows, I don’t pretend to know, but it’s just my opinion .
