hard to say becasue it might be somebody picked up as a free agent or on a 10 day contract. People should name who is the worst player on their favorite team. I’ll start: Lakers worst player who is likely to make the squad next year is DJ Mbenga

Robert Swift isn’t even in the NBA anymore. I would go with Greg Stiemsma because he was horrible even in the summer league so imagine him in an actual NBA game

You should call this the Mark Madsen Award

They might not be the worst…But i’m still wondering how Jason & Jarron Collins have lasted so long?

..I dont think they have combined to score a 50 points in their careers…

I vote Eddie Curry. They keep trying to get something for their money but he makes them worse whenever he steps on the court.

The leagues lacks big men and the Collins twins are solid and know the game and don’t mind banging and using 6 fouls. They seem to lack any other skill though. Sometimes being tall and knowing the game of basketball can get you some money, I wish i was tall lol.

i wish i was 7 feet only if it meant playing in the nba. If i got cut, i would want to go back down to my current size. Being 7 feet would suck.

That guy sucks. Carlos Arroyo sucks too. He is like that old guy at the court who tries to be a leader for the pickup team, but can’t guard anybody so nobody respects him or listens to. Except he isn’t old.

I think he is pretty bad at this point too. I always thought he sucked when he was Tim Hardaways backup, and now that he is like 50, im pretty sure he sucks more.

Sheldon Williams deserves a mention, the guy is flat out horrendous. Geez I can’t believe he was the 5th pick. Haha so many of us Hawks fans were unhappy during the draft when some people said he was the 2nd coming of Antonio Davis, damn looking back now I’d give my car if he could have even been for us even half the player Antonio Davis was. He’s the only NBA player who can say that his wife is better than him at basketball. He was at the very least supposed to be a good rebounder and shot blocker, but he can’t even do that. What a waste of a player.

    **Edit**

LOL to the post above, beat me to it.

Randolph Morris has been the worst player in the NBA for the past few seasons, in my opinion. Quite frankly I’m shocked he’s made it 4 seasons. Its not very often a 4 year vetaran has a line in summer league that looks like this….2pts 0-4 fg 1 rb 4 fouls 2 TO’s finished the summer league with 7ppg 2.8rpg for a 6’11” 4 year veteran. I think Zoubek could beat him 1 on 1, in a foot race, a beard growing contest, and a free throw shooting contest. When you get dominated by Zoubek like that I think you are the worst player in the NBA.

How would you go with Timofey if he hasnt played a millisecond in the NBA yet? I mean…i personally have really low expectations on the kid, but you cant say someone is the worst in the NBA until they’ve had some time to prove….or not prove themselves..

Oh, and for the worst, i’d probably have to go with Aaron Gray…

My vote for last season would go to Sasha Pavlovic of Minnesota, playing for the worst team in the NBA and producing nothing but very poor shooting:

Player Pos G M/Gm FGm FGa PCT 3m 3a PCT FTm FTA PCT AVG

    pavlovic,sasha SG 71 12.3 109 300 .363 35 118 .297 10 26 .385 3.7

    Player AS AS/g ST ST/G TO TO/g BK BK/g TND OR OR/g TR TR/g

    pavlovic,sasha 58 0.8 23 0.3 53 0.7 6 0.1 2.8 12 0.2 117 1.6

Paul Shirley’s NBA career wasn’t more than a couple games, but he is a fellow Kansan and I’ve met him a couple times. He is a very cool guy and a good writer too, but last I heard he got in fired from espn for making some controversial comments about Haiti.

Brian Cook. Here are his 2010 stats:

GP MPG PTS EFF RPG APG STPG BLKPG EFF48M EFF

    15 3.0 1.4 .6 .6 .1 0.0 0.13 9.72 .6

And I say Brian Cook because he got into 15 games, so he got a fair number of opportunities to show something, even if it was just for a few minutes. The guy is a perimeter shooter, yet he only shot 22% from 3 and 30% from the field. He also has the worst PER in the league for anyone who played more than 10 games.

How can you say Roger Mason? While his shot was a little off this year he is a good 3 point shooter who can knock down a ton in a row if he’s hot. He also gives 100% effort on defense, can play a little point, and is a great locker room guy to have.
