The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWhy are they so pressed to trade for Pau Gasol when they could just wait his contract out and sign him as the missing veteran piece in a year or two…
The latest rumors have the Wolves involed in a 3 team trade that would send out Beasley/Williams and Barea to aquire Pau Gasol from the Lakers…
That trade doesn’t make any sense to me because the Wolves don’t get a Sg in the deal, not to mention Pau’s price tag and age coupled with losing 3 young players/trade assets as well…
Now if the Wolves are looking to add a Gasol brother, why not try to trade for the younger Marc Gasol, my thinking is this, The Grizzlies broke the bank resigning Conley/Gay/Randolph and Gasol, they stand to lose Mayo and other potential Free Agents unless they decide to pay into the luxary tax, Memphis hasn’t been as succesful as they hoped for and could stand to move one of the big contracts to create cap flexibilty and roster depth…
Here’s my Trade Idea for Minnesota and Memphis
Minnesota Trades –
Nikoli Pekovic,Micheal Beasley,Wes Johnson and Anthony Randolph
Memphis Trades –
Marc Gasol,OJ Mayo,Sam Young and Marresse Speights
Secondary trade for Wolves
Wolves Trade – Derrick Williams and JJ Barea
Pacers Trade – Danny Granger and Dantay Jones
Wolves Lineup
Rubio/Ridnour
Mayo/Jones/Lee
Granger/Young
Love/Speights
Gasol/Darko
Memphis Lineup
Conley/Pargo/Selby
Gay/Allen/Webster
Beasley/Johnson
Z.Randolph/A.Randolph
Pekovic/Hammadi
Pacers Lineup
Collison/Barea
Hill/Stephanson
George/Williams
West/Hansbourgh
Hibbert/Foster
A year and half from Now, The Wolves can sign Pau Gasol as the final piece…

TyroberParticipantThe Grizzlies haven’t been as successful because they have been without their best player in Randolph. Once he comes back I expect a very different Grizzlies team. And if they wanted to trade Gasol they would have done it in the offseason as a sign and trade. They aren’t letting their allstar center go for junk.

JunkYardDogParticipantno way the grizz would trade gasol to get pekovic and 3 players who smell more and more like underachievers (usefull at time but not effective as they should)
I think you overrate beasley. He has poor value on the market.

ghrghrParticipant^^ and even though they haven’t been great, the Grizzlies are 4 games over .500 and fighting for a playoff spot.
If Z-Bo comes back playing well he can take this team to the next level.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantRudy Gay is Memphis most talented player, but Zack Randolph is their most important player….But if Rudy plays at 100% every night he’ll be among the top 12 players in the league..

river09Participantleave gasol, sam young and pek, johnson out of this and it’s almost realistic.. almost.. It is the wolves.. And this would help them.. So there is no chance of it actually happening…
