White ChocolateParticipantThe Utah Jazz talked to David Lee’s agent and expressed interest in a sign and trade for David Lee. Lee has meeting with the Heat, Bulls, Nets, and Timberwolves. What if Bosh goes to the Heat, Stoudemire goes to the Bulls, the Nets look for a small forward in free agency because they just drafted a power forwrad with the #3 pick in Favors or decide to go after Carmelo Anthony in free agency next year, and I wonder why the Timberwolves would have any interest in David Lee after they just gave Darko Milicic a 4-year $20 million dollar contract and after they signed Nikola Pekovic to a 3-year $13 million dollar contract so that basically took most of their cap space, but who knows. I believe that leaves one option for Lee, a sign and trade deal to the Jazz. We have talked about it before, a David Lee for Carlos Boozer sign and trade deal. What are some of your guys’ thoughts?

Charlie SheenParticipantyou cant do that. A sign and trade would work this way
Utah gets Lee
New York gets BoozerIf Jersey signs Lee they cant trade him til like mid December

PlatypusParticipantwould Lee play a short center there or power forward
Okur – Fes
Lee – MilsapOr
Lee – Fes
Milsap – Okur0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 5:08pm #345271

White ChocolateParticipantThat I don’t know I think he could play center, but a front court of Lee 6-9 and Millsap 6-8 would be way undersized. So I think It would be be Okur/Fesenko at center and Lee at power forward with Millsap as their 6th man.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantLee is just more money. Lets make milsap our starter and have faith in him and his new contract. Why pay to undersized bigs 10 mil a piece it didnt get us to the promise land last year. Is david lee really the missing piece. I just dont think he is. He is a solid player yes. But no more of a defender than booz and maybe a little worse offensively. I dont like it at all.

BasterdInABasketParticipantWhat year is this? 1970? How many white guys can you get on one team

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantWe would have Okur, Hayward, Fesenko, Koufus, and Ak o and korver if he resigns. But everyone knows seven foot white guys dont count for the total since every team has at least 2!

SwatLakeCityParticipantI know Sloan would love Lee, and he does play more defense than Booz does but not by much. He would still get killed by Gasol, Stoudamire, and Bosh. I would also not like to see this happen. I’d much rather trade Koufos instead of Booz. I say just let him walk, that way we have more cap space to resign Korver or do a sign and trade for him, and pursue Tomic next year. We will be just fine without Booz. We may not be as good for a year, but in the end one year of bad, is worth waiting for the real fun to start when Tomic comes over. I can’t wait till Tomic comes over. No sign and trade this would detriment our chances of bringing him over.
