What a better way for Pierce to go out in Boston Garden than to bury a three at the end of the game.

Is he not a top 3 clutchest player? When he went into the game, I had no doubt he would make that shot. Every time I watch him in close game situations he delivers

Saw on Twitter that he played 630 games in the TD Garden and never went scoreless.  So glad he could go out with one final shot in Boston.  The crowd was great all game cheering and chanting things like "thank you Paul Pierce" and "we want Paul Pierce".

That was pretty cool to see. And like you guys said great player especially in the clutch. Wish he would have got an opportunity on the previous possession when Griffin missed that three, him knocking in a couple meaningful buckets would have been even better.

So the Truths last game in Boston is on the same day of the Superbowl. I don’t know who set thier schedule first but if your the NBA you may have wanted to put this game on any day but a Sunday in February. This computer generated schedule app has got to go.

I 100% completely DISAGREE! Watching Paul Pierce walk into the Garden wearing nothing but Patriots clothing was the highlight of my NBA season, and showed that even though he’s playing for LA he’ll always be a Boston Celtic. Him kissing the Logo was always nice. Man showed this town true loyalty, and I’m glad the fans showed him theirs. That could have been a game winning three, and the Celtics fans still would have cheered.

Sports is different in Boston, we’ve won 10 Championships since 2000, and Piere was a part of that. All the great players from those teams continually talk and motivate each other to go out and win it all for the B. Moments like the when the Sox won in 2004 and they immitated the Patriots making snow angles in the outfield are iconic moments in Boston sports.

Having Pierce, the only homegrown basketball legend to play for us in that time period, in the city repping our teams only added to the night.

Great moment for Boston sports the other day.

he made his debut for Boston on the same date as his last game, you really can’t do better than that. I forget but he must have been hurt to start his first season…they said it multiple times on the broadcast it was 18 years to the day

I believe it was a lockout shortened season his rookie year.

That 2008 Boston team was such a great team & it was very rare in the way GM Danny Aigne brilliantly pulled that all together.

I have to admit as a Lakers fans that following year in 2009 I was Very relieved that Garnette was not healthy b/c I don;t know if we could have beaten them b/c they so physically Dominated us in the 2008 Finals.

When 2010 rolled around the Lakers were the Defending NBA Champs & we had the confidence to compete w/ that Celtics team & it Still went a full 7 games even though Garnette was not really ever 100% again after 2008.

Pierce All Time great player & an incredibly clutch player.
