I’d put Chris Paul and maybe even Steve Nash ahead of Rondo.

Rondo’s stats really tapered off towards the end of the season not only because Shaq was out but also because Kendrick Perkins was traded who was supposedly his best friend. I’m sure that had an emotional effect on him.

Rondo’s my favorite player and all but he has GOT to learn to shoot. Maybe the lockout will help him because he not only gets more rehab time but also some time to get in the gym and put up some shots. He hopefully will AT LEAST get his FT% up to maybe around 80%.

If you watched CP3 in the playoffs, I think you have a hard time putting any other PG up over him despite the talent amongst PGs in the league.  The way he was playing was unreal.  I had knocked him down a bit b4 that, but after that showing, he def. reclaimed #1 IMO.

 If you look at that Hornets roster without CP3 and with an injured David West, its amazing he got them to the playoffs in a stacked Western conference.  If CP3 was 100% healthy I’d have him ahead of Derrick Rose pretty easily.

 If CP3s healthy, hes likely #1, but unfortunately hes not always healthy and due to that his consistency has dropped as well..hes still a top PG, but hes also still trying to return to the CP3 of old, and until he does that, I cant say that hes better than Deron Williams..

2. Deron Williams- Contines to prove how damn good he is. Makes his teammates better. Probably the most complete point guard in the league due to his size and post play.

3. Derrick Rose- Is not the caliber of passer or defender that the two above him are, but theres not a more explosive guard in the league. He’s not quite as good as people think he is, yet. But all things considered, he’ll get there, soon. Think Lebron in his third year.

4. Steve Nash- When you can shoot, handle, and pass as well as this man, the negatives are more than palatable. Still, from a halfcourt stand point, the best pure point guard.

5. Rajon Rondo- Watching Miami continuously give Rondo ten feet, and his refusal to attack to get to the line, because of his dismal foul shooting made me realize how detrimental his lack of shooting is. The moost unique talent in the NBA

6- Russell Westbrook- Super athletic, but goes the periods where he freezes out teammates. A streak shooter to the fullest, but when hes in the zone, hes literally unstoppable.

7- Tony Parker- The best finisher at the basket of any guard. Ultra-consistent, has stepped up in big spots, and is a pro on the court.

8. Chauncey Billups- When healthy, hes a versitile guard with very good scoring instincts. Deadly in the post and behind the arc, his lack of quickness and average passing limits him now.

9. Andre Miller- Give him his due. Cerebral, excellent ball handler, facilitator, floor general, passer, post point guard, and productive. Has missed 6 NBA game in his 12 year career.

10. John Wall- Super bright future, can jump to seven, maybe even five with a strong year. excellent size and speed, and natural passer, and a prodigeous ballhawk, he projects as a 6’4 Rondo with less rebounding and better scoring, but if he take’s Rose-esque leaps in the next 2 years, he will be as good as the hype.

Honorable mention: Jason Kidd just misses the cut, but it could be more him settling into his role than losing offesive prowess. Could easily be 8 on the list. Steph Curry, Jrue Holiday, Ty Lawson, Mike Conley are all young points that possess excellent tools and are starting to put it together. George Hill, Kyle Lowry, and Jameer Nelson are all players who I root for, even as Nelson gets a little older..
