akhan786ParticipantI’d put Chris Paul and maybe even Steve Nash ahead of Rondo.
Rondo’s stats really tapered off towards the end of the season not only because Shaq was out but also because Kendrick Perkins was traded who was supposedly his best friend. I’m sure that had an emotional effect on him.
Rondo’s my favorite player and all but he has GOT to learn to shoot. Maybe the lockout will help him because he not only gets more rehab time but also some time to get in the gym and put up some shots. He hopefully will AT LEAST get his FT% up to maybe around 80%.

NiceWithTheRockParticipantI think John wall should be top 10. He was top 10 in assists and steals per game this season. And thank you for showing Holiday love. He is underrated.

NO EZ BUCKETSParticipantthank you for putting rondo at 3! alot of people write him off becuase of his terrible shooting, but he has amazing court vision and is arguably the best passer in the game along with nash

carefulParticipantNo way rondo is better than Chris Paul. The only thing he has on Chris Paul is rebounding. I’d put Nash ahead of Rondo as well. Imagine Nash on the celtics? Him and Ray Allen would be the most lethal 3 point shooting back court in the league

Memphis MadnessParticipantA good question now would be where do you see Kyrie Irving, Ricky Rubio, Jimmer, and Brandon Knight on that list if they can make it in the next couple of years?
I think Ty Lawson is good and has a lot of promise so I can see him making one of the lower spots on that list. Mike Conley Jr. is solid and steady and if he takes the next step I think he can be number 9 or 10 when Nash and Kidd retire.
My list for now would be something like this:
1. Chris Paul
2. Derrick Rose
3. Deron Williams
4. Steve Nash
5. Rajon Rondo
6. Russell Westbrook
7. Tony Parker
8. Steph Curry
9. Jason Kidd
10. John Wall
Andre Miller, Ty Lawson, Mike Conley, and Jrue Holiday receive honorable mention.

sixer23ParticipantI think Jrue Holiday is ahead of Parker and Curry hes bigger then both at 6-4 and is one of the better rebounders on that list. He could be the best defending point guard in the league and he just turned 21 so hes still has time to learn the position and the game better. He also has above average athletism, and can shoot. Jrue could be a top 5 point guard in the next couple years.

M-DYMESParticipantIf you watched CP3 in the playoffs, I think you have a hard time putting any other PG up over him despite the talent amongst PGs in the league. The way he was playing was unreal. I had knocked him down a bit b4 that, but after that showing, he def. reclaimed #1 IMO.

I May Be WrongParticipantDerrick Rose may be the best scoring PG but CP3 in the playoffs reminded everyone why he is the best PG. And no one can give me that "Derek Fisher was guarding him" excuse too. He was killin everyone who was guarding him but that Hornets team just didn’t have enough talent to match with LA

MagikKnickParticipantIf CP3s healthy, hes likely #1, but unfortunately hes not always healthy and due to that his consistency has dropped as well..hes still a top PG, but hes also still trying to return to the CP3 of old, and until he does that, I cant say that hes better than Deron Williams..

MkadozaParticipant1. Chris Paul- Plays hurt, plays effecient, is a ball hawk, and CARRIES his squad way father than their ralent level should allow. He rarely, if ever makes mistakes.
2. Deron Williams- Contines to prove how damn good he is. Makes his teammates better. Probably the most complete point guard in the league due to his size and post play.
3. Derrick Rose- Is not the caliber of passer or defender that the two above him are, but theres not a more explosive guard in the league. He’s not quite as good as people think he is, yet. But all things considered, he’ll get there, soon. Think Lebron in his third year.
4. Steve Nash- When you can shoot, handle, and pass as well as this man, the negatives are more than palatable. Still, from a halfcourt stand point, the best pure point guard.
5. Rajon Rondo- Watching Miami continuously give Rondo ten feet, and his refusal to attack to get to the line, because of his dismal foul shooting made me realize how detrimental his lack of shooting is. The moost unique talent in the NBA
6- Russell Westbrook- Super athletic, but goes the periods where he freezes out teammates. A streak shooter to the fullest, but when hes in the zone, hes literally unstoppable.
7- Tony Parker- The best finisher at the basket of any guard. Ultra-consistent, has stepped up in big spots, and is a pro on the court.
8. Chauncey Billups- When healthy, hes a versitile guard with very good scoring instincts. Deadly in the post and behind the arc, his lack of quickness and average passing limits him now.
9. Andre Miller- Give him his due. Cerebral, excellent ball handler, facilitator, floor general, passer, post point guard, and productive. Has missed 6 NBA game in his 12 year career.
10. John Wall- Super bright future, can jump to seven, maybe even five with a strong year. excellent size and speed, and natural passer, and a prodigeous ballhawk, he projects as a 6’4 Rondo with less rebounding and better scoring, but if he take’s Rose-esque leaps in the next 2 years, he will be as good as the hype.
Honorable mention: Jason Kidd just misses the cut, but it could be more him settling into his role than losing offesive prowess. Could easily be 8 on the list. Steph Curry, Jrue Holiday, Ty Lawson, Mike Conley are all young points that possess excellent tools and are starting to put it together. George Hill, Kyle Lowry, and Jameer Nelson are all players who I root for, even as Nelson gets a little older..

dolla130Participant1 Derrick Rose- Ill give the slight edge over cp3 because he is the reigning MVP of the league and was on the best team in the league record wise if im starting a franchise right now and i had to pick a pg the only other pg id pick over rose is cp3
1a Chris Paul – if chris comes into the season fully healthy all year he will be without question or debate number 1 he showed signs of that this season in the playoffs
3 Deron Williams-i like deron but he has never done more with less like the two above him and i think it was premature to crown him the best pg in the league when cp3 got hurt because cp3 shut that down and if it wasnt for rose having a break out season and winning mvp the best pg now wouldnt even be a discussion.
4 Steve Nash- its amazing that hes still top 5 with all these young athletic pgs now, what hes still able too do on a nightly basis in crazy
5 Rajon Rondo- to me the most overrated pg in the league, i dont think he will be able to maintain his numbers once the big 3 break up or continue to break down
6 Russel Westbrook- needs more focus and stop worrying about what his peers are accomplishing and play ball and help durant win some games
7 Tony Parker
8 Steph Curry – not really a pg to me more of a small sg
9 Chauncy Billups
10 Jason Kidd

Im Your FatherParticipant"If you watched CP3 in the playoffs, I think you have a hard time putting any other PG up over him despite the talent amongst PGs in the league. The way he was playing was unreal. I had knocked him down a bit b4 that, but after that showing, he def. reclaimed #1 IMO."
I think it’s close between Paul and Williams and I lean slightly towards Paul, but I’m not sure Paul’s series against the Lakers is indicative of anything. Paul absolutely lit up the Lakers, but every point guard lights up the Lakers.
