They have no since of direction why pick up bledsoe when you already have dragic. Both are good pg bledsoe with a little more upside. I think butler is an upgrade over dudley but considering dudley is younger it really didn’t matter. The suns have no direction they will again be to good to win first pick but not good enough to make the playoffs. Next year will be a good year to have a top 5 pick we will see how it goes but I don’t see the suns being good for a long time

The Suns got Bledsoe for Jared Dudley and a couple of second rounders. That’s a no-brainer for a rebuilding team in my opinion.

Bledsoe gives them an exciting young player who is one of the best athletes in the league at point guard. Dragic can shoot well enough to play off the ball and they can both start. Phoenix wasn’t in position to turn themselves into a contender this summer so adding a quality young piece like Bledsoe is a nice move. They will still be bad enough to compete for a top 5 pick in next years loaded draft. If things work out for them I could see them being competitive in a couple years.

Bledsoe/Dragic/Len give them a good base. Not sure if Marshall can play yet since they never really give him a chance. They need a young wing and PF and they’d have a bright future. Any of Wiggins/Parker/Randle would fit perfect with them so hopefully they get a top 3 pick.

Will thy get a top 5 pick with Bledsoe. I don’t like this pick up for them, I hunk it’s going to be one of those situations like the poster said to where they will be decent ad get stuck in the middle again. Top 5 pick to 11 is a huge difference.

this is funny. they’re still one of the weakest teams regardless of the addition. they got better, but not enough to win games. still a very good trade for the suns since they only gave up 2nd rounders and dudley

They need to get rid of Dragic. I don’t see the point in playing both him and Bledsoe together

Personally, I’d like to see them play together first. Last season, drastic was pretty much the only guy in the rotation who could create offense on a consistent basis. And because he’ s not a natuaral distributor, their offense got very stagnant and predictable. Having bledsoe in the same back-court will give them more versatility since they can have another guy to slash and create.

Not to mention that Bledsoe isn’t a real pg either, he’s in a similar mold of Russell Westbrook. Has great size for the position as well as the required skillet, can even drop some assists here and there, but not their natural position. Keeping him as an off guard could be better than plugging him at he point.

Off the top of my head, I’d say Dragic for Afflalo, but Oladipo’s reportedly going to be experimented at point guard. Trades off the top of my head are rarely good ones anyway.

Regardless, Dragic’s contract is very tradeable at $7.5 million over the next three years. Pretty good price and he’s only 26.

Bledsoe by himself is not going to raise the Suns in the standings. It doesn’t matter what lottery player they add if they don’t have other solid players.

Orlando should try and take Marshall off PHX’s hands.

Made off like bandits in this deal. As somebody else already said, getting Bledsoe (and Caron Butler) for Jared Dudley and 2 second round picks is just insane. Sure, you’re eating Butler’s contract, but its not like the Suns are a playoff team. They’ll still be in the lottery, likely the high lottery, and in a great spot to land one of the likely multiple All Star caliber players in next year’s draft class.

This trade helps the Suns now, but helps them a lot more in 2-3 years when they’re going to be competitive. TBH, I think the Clips gave up a bit much to land Redick. But that’s a whole different discussion.

Good pick up for sure in the sense that it gives them talent for the future but it won’t make them good enough to move out of the top 5 for next years draft. They want to be in top 5 so it’s a good thing. Also they didn’t have to give up much for him. The big question is how much are they going pay him ?
