So, the sixers can swap picks with the Kings next year? That trade has to go down as the worst ever. Lets see, the sixers can take the lakers pick top 3 proteted. Best case scenario is they get the lakers 4th pick. Suppose the Kings are awful next year and win the lottery so they get the #1 pick. I’m going to assume the sixers are marginally better this year and land a pick in the top 10. Then, they also have the thunder’s pick which could land in the top 15 or 20. On top of that, they should be bringing in Saric next in 2017. I’m just throwing out best case scenario in which they get the kings pick which lets say ends up at #1 and that would give them Ben Simmons. Then, they land the fourth pick, then grab their own pick and the thunder’s pick and finally they bring in Dario Saric in 2017. Jesus christ, this team could be totally stacked.

The Kings are trying to make the playoffs, unless they are out of the race and decide to blow it all up at the Deadline we won’t be swapping out picks with them…

The Lakers pick is going to be interesting to follow, I’m of the belief that they’ll either keep the pick by the skin of their teeth or they’ll actually be a borderline playoff team, no way does the pick end up 4th and we keep it, they’ll win the Lottery this year before that happens, I have a feeling they hand us over the 9th pick…

Miami and OkC give us 1st round picks if they make the playoffs, the Thunder are a lock for the post season and the Heat should be as well as long as Wade and Bosh remain healthy(which is not a given)…2 additional picks to move up is always welcome IMO, we’ll need to shore up our PG and SG situation with the additional Picks via LA, Miami and OKC, we are clearly big game hunting with our Top 5 Pick…

that whole situation with the kings is such a mess. I would not be suprised if they r a lottery team and have a record worse then the sixers.

I think they still have DMC, Gay, Rondo and coach George Karl…Until I see him fail completely I’m going to say they are a borderline playoff team with the potential to fall off a cliff by February…

I agree that the Kings have been historically inept BUT that was before Karl/Divac in charge…

The Rondo/Cousins combo could surprise us all and be a good start for SACRAMENTO

With the way free agency is going I can’t really envision the Lakers being a near playoff team in the West. Golden State, San Antonio, Houston, Memphis, OKC, LA Clippers, Dallas, New Orleans, Portland, Utah, Phoenix, and Sacramento all project to be better than the Lakers next year on paper. If Move is in perfect health playing one of his best years, if Russell and Randle are even better than expected, and some other teams fall out of the playoff race due to injuries then maybe the Lakers will be close enough by years end to be said to be in contention for a playoff spot. I imagine the Lakers probably win 30 or so games best case scenario.

But people dismiss Kobe far too much IMO, they also upgraded at PG and SG by subtracting Lin and adding D’angelo Russell, Clarkson should be better this year and with Kobe healthy at SF and Randle playing PF they actually look solid 1-4, I figure they’ll resign Hill or Davis to play C and fill out the roster with role players…They have a legend on their roster, 2 Top rated prospects in Russell and Randle, and enough at PG and C to win 35-45 games and just barely miss the playoffs/Top 5 Lottery pick…

They can either surprise us and compete for the 8th seed OR just miss out on a Top 3 pick which we in Philadelphia are banking on…

Dudr the kings upgraded. I know your being optimistic for the sake of your case for the sixets but no way they have the worst record! Come on boogie had them looking like threat too make the playoffs last year until he got sick. They have added rondo, WCS, & bellini. Sixers will have a good draft in2016 but kings not, in my opinion, falling in tbe top 10. I know ppl here laugh at the kings but i like their present core, atleast for the next half a decade or more.

Cousins is a beast obviously, but the situation w/ him & Karl is bad… Their trade w/ the Sixers made Zero sense until you realize that the GM Divac is taking orders from the owner to make the playoffs at all costs so they can open their new arena w/ a bang… But we all know how this usually works out when you bring in a bunch of vets from other teams… belleneli for example is Garbage… Before Tim Duncan saved his career Bellaneli knocked around on 4 different teams in 4 years & was a career 41% FG shooter… Rondo is Bi-Polar & they bring him into a dysfunctional coach / star player set up… I could go on… The strangest part to me was Drafting WCS & then trading 2014 Lottery pick Nik Stauskus… Stauskus has real talent at the Offensive end but opponents would immediately attack him at th other end… W/ WCS you can develop Stauskus into a solid scoring option b/c WCS is able to protect him at the other emd… So they trade him to Phila where he will most likely thrive b/c they have TWO world class rim protecors in Noel & Embiid and on the Offense end, Both Okafor & Embiid will commansd a double team on Every possession, so Stauskus will be jacking up Wide Open shots all over the floor… Then you throw in that Divac gave Philly Swap rights for TWO years and it’s downright Shocking!!! Everyone is focused on the 2016 draft – but several of those picks Philly is owed become 100% Unprotected after 2016… The Miami heat pick will be unprotected in 2017 & the Lakers pick will be totally unprotected in 2018… Even if the King’s situation manages to survive this year, it could fall apart next summer,it seems like Cousins wants out – Phila could conceivably have a loaded team of Okafor, Saric, Stauskus, Noel, Embiid & 3 picks in 2016 (Miami, OKC & their own) playing together in 2016, 17 & 18 – start to tear apart the Eastern Conference but STILL end up w/ the #1 pick in BOTH 2017 (Sac) & 2018 (L.A.) – I know it’s the longest of long shots but don’t forget that the Lakers traded Don Ford to Cleveland for their 1980 1st round pick & in 1979 they recieved the rights to New Orleans Jazz 1982 1st round pick when they signed Lakers restricted free agent gail goodrich… Those picks turned out to be Magic Johnson in 1980 & James Worthy in 1982…. People are so blinded by all the espn hit pieces on the Sixers that they are losing sight of the fact that in just 26 months Hinkie is assembling a franstein’s Monster in Philadelphia…. Many, Many talent experts, scouts & analysts will tell you that the Sixers acquired the Best player in 2013, 2014 & 2015 & they are in a position to do MUCH more damage b/c they are LOADED w/ 1st round picks over the next 5 years….

Man…I hate to be the guy that trashes a post without adding anything basketball-related….

But it’s impossible to read. Just press the "Enter" key a few times…I’m sure there’s some good points in there.

And since I feel obligated to post something basketball-related…..

I think Anthony Davis will extend his range to 3pt territory this season. At least the corners.

Usually when you have a dominant low post player you don’t take a big man 6th who’s gonna clog the paint cause hes no good anywhere else and a ball dominant pg that is the least threatening shooter on the court at all times. Not to mention all 3 of them are head cases and Karl is on the verge of getting fired.  If you think the kings are gonna compete for a playoff spot you’re just being foolish.

The Kings as an organization are beyond ridiculous, but you’re honestly being foolish if you think the Sixers are going to have a better record than Sacramento.
